Connie, 22 Oct 2009This is going to be a great phone. I love BlackBerry with a... moreNokia is the best..
wat's gud about bb? only the BB messenger.. it says free, but it actualy not, u still have to pay for the internet service.
with E71, why u say it's not gud? because u didn't have an access to all the features that nokia has, if u do have, then u can say E71 is better

Really? The 9000 ***** all over this phone in terms of looks. And the only thing better than a trackball is if you could control the phone with your mind.

whats going on with BB, i know technology is moving foward, but the track ball is a defining factor in BB's classic look and feel. i hate the touch pad, and a long life BB man, i feel that they should've perfectated the track ball and stayed away from gimics. I hope when this lauches in the UK it wont have any problems.

just ordered one on expansys (CH), they say it'll ship around the 12. November... ...can't wait :-)

oh and for all you E71/2 vs BB 9000/9700 people, i've used qwerty nokias since the original E61 (also had de E61i) and am now replacing my E71 with this lovely device (would have bought the E72 but come on nokia, 2.36" with a 240x360 res? wake up, this isn't 2006 anymore!)

it seems that everyone is praising BB here, i just want to say any BB device is useless without the Blackberry internet service (BIS) and you would have to pay a premium for it. I have bold 9000 and I can't even connect to the damn WIFI hotspot in starbucks unless i activated the BIS. Wat the crap! and a few of my friends are also an avid traveller, some of them have blackberry and they can't even use 3G with the local sim card where they are..BB is good for stagnant people. Stay in 1 country forever, too bad I am not one of them.

ng_lee, 23 Oct 2009Hi, I just want to express some opinions about blackberry d... morewhy are you so critical of BB? you mention little reason of why except poor user interface. i would disagree with you here having used various phones for 15+years. i find it a very good and stable interface. also your statement is so negative. dont you think with more competition the phones get better. so by losing key players your phone tech will not be as rapid

I suspect the Bold 9700 also supports UMTS 2100/1700/900 MHz (Bands 1,4,8). See http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/blackberrybold9700/bold_specifications.jsp
