this is a very good phone, good audio great speed but bad battery (it just die even if it shows battery full it just dies) and you can't find a replacement battery in South Africa

I love the Blackberry Bold, I have this and Blackberry Torch too as I wanted to experience both the touch and keypad features. I have to have a keypad on my phone to use it basically as a main phone, I prefer the key over the touch but if you want the best of both worlds then BB Torch gives you that. You can use Whatsapp, and emails fine it, even FB etc but I don't use that. It enables me to have main features in a family use phone so in that way it is very handy. Most of all it is fast, and reliable. You have to be careful you download reputable apps though as seriously some apps can destroy the effectiveness of your phone with all the stupid ads that connect with it.
The only dissapointment I found which is really not a good one, was that in not so remotish areas, the phone signal dies, after I found that out I tested a great old Nokia I had, along with the Samsung. While the Blackberry had no signal, the Samsung had one off and on in such areas-the Nokia stayed true to it brand, and seriously, it had a signal that stayed put so I could make calls. A valid reason to hang on to your Nokia anyway! Plus, service/repairs -not that you ever need it- for Nokia is widely available.
If you want more social apps like multiplayer games, Instagram, etc. Samsung Galaxy is perfect for that.

Since this is an AT&T specific phone, even if unlocked, unless you have the proper Service Books installed for your specific carrier, you probably won't be able to use MMS or the BlackBerry Browser over your DATA Network.

My BB 9700 Curve device doesn't play You Tube Videos. It cnnct with Youtube bt no playin. Does anyone know why is that?
