Your doubts are valid.
But in a nutshell, Let me remove all of them.
First & foremost...if you AINT going to use BB Service...then NEVER buy BB handset, as without BB service this handset is just like any other normal 5-6K handset & nothing else..whther u go for the costliest BB - Torch or for the Cheapest BB.
So, BB Service is must for BB handset, as you from India, so let me tell you, that normal GPRS/Mobile Office wont work on BB, (it can work but in limited....n for that too you need to install 3rd party browser).
Normal Mobile Office/GPRS does NOT works on BB browser.
BB Service is also Mobile Service/GPRS only but with a slighter EDGE....like BB messenger..a lil bit fast speed & YES a good amount of Monthly Rental.
I was using Nokia E-72 before..sold it..bought HTC Desire...sold it..as touch screen is a big pain in ass.
Now BB 9300 Curve..love the handset..for it cool usability
9300 curve comes arnd 17-18K.
Im into handsets but I still find OS discussion as crap.
Any OS which Nokia, SE, Samsung, BB etc are using has to be good to stay in the market....else they wont survive.
People who talk abt OS are the Younger Generation who have ample time to download apps n play with them(though none of them is of any use as shown in advertisements).
So ONLY go for BB is u have to use BB service i.e. BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) else dont go...as then BB can only be used to make & recieve calls & sms's & nothin else....
So think twice n then buy...as BB re-sale is kinda almost half of wot u will buy.

we hv Bis plan as low as rm40 per month for 250MB.
and, rm50 for 500MB oso.......so try it laaaa..:)

I have been using this site for quite long time for hand set specifications and I always use to trust this site for their specifications for different hand sets. I was really shocked during the last one weak after buying a BlackBerry 9780. The GSM Arena specification states the battery life of the same model is 6 hours which is quite low compare to Nokia E5 which I was using earlier. But after using BlackBerry I understood that the battery back is better than Nokia E5. I am an extereme heavy user for enterprise and normal phone operation and still I am getting very good talk time in this mobile. I would like GSM arena team to do immediate corrention in talk time in the specification.

confused between e72 and BB bold 3
i am pretty much confused about which phone to go for.
i like both nokia e 72 as well as bb 9780. pros and cons according to me are
nokia e72
Pros:
1. nice metalic body
2. all most a complete phone
3. price 16-17 K
cons:
1. nokia brand
2. outdated Symbian OS
BB bold 3
Pros:
1.Brand name: black berry
2. BBM messenger service ( i dont know whether i will subcribe for it or not )
3. Status symbol
Cons:
1.very expensive
2. this will be 1st BB for me so i dont know whether i will be comfortable with it or not.
3. BBM service will also be costly.
so all these questions are in my mind.. budget is not issue for me, but i dont want to buy a expensive phone and sell it within few days at half rate. so just hesitating for the selection.
please give your yr precious views on my post

Hey does anyone know how to down load a free apps to my Blackberry Bold 9780 so I can access radio channels?

The Blackberry Bold 9780 has most things except a radio which you can't even download!how disappointing.instead of tying to make the next model like an Iphone they should add a basic thing like a radio. I have to take my mini radio so I can listen to my talk shows.

karen, 27 Dec 2010i oso dunno, they say bb got bb plan de.. coz i using smart... moreSS100 comes with 12gb data but its not suitable for BB as BB messenger and its push mail function can't be used. so for BB, you need to use a powervalue with a BB data plan.
