Personally, I am waiting to see this launched with service provider, so that at same price, one can get data plan free for 6-12 months as it is currently for BB 9300 3G.

Hey guys,
Just upgraded from the bold 9000 to the 9780,and I am loving every bit of it, the size is a lot better easier to carry it around, looks great and os 6.0, the camera and the extra RAM definately makes it worth buying, I've been using mine heavily for 2 days and its still got 25% remaining on the bar, overall I would say a great business/casual phone that's let's you do pretty much everything you want everytime you want with no bullshit, its a very reliable phone and that's why it ticks all my boxes.

the software is not stable many bugs in the call log, camera,even when the call is connected the speaker turns on by itself and i cant even move to mute only after take the batterie off and back again plus i had many problem with the trackpad when i click on the batterie/network on the top of the standbye page the blue line disappeared while scrolling to the options menu so i have go back and reselect it again and even the led light it stopped by itself ...
probably an upgrade will be helpful

the best phone ever!..i love this bb 9780 so much!..especially for the social networking..you will stay connected with all your friends 24/7 non stop!!!..the connection is so good..so fast..user friendly too..so if you wanna buy this phone, go ahead..so worth buying..
p/s: make sure you register the blackberry internet service after that..

i connect to wifi but i cant connect to facebook from the icon on the phone. Blackberry app world also cant log in. It show "blackberry app world is having trouble connecting to blackberry app world server. Verify your network connection n try again."

the app from rim all using data, wifi can't use it,even i set to wifi , they still run the data line,
i need to off my line, than use wifi than i not need to pay the data charger.

I upgraded from a 9700 to a 9780 a couple of weeks ago and I like it much better than the 9700. Not that the 9700 was a bad phone, it was a great phone. It's the OS6 and 5mp camera that make the 9780 better. The extra 256 of ram also makes things run more quickly and smoothly. However, I've noticed a glitch on the 9780 that didn't happen on my 9700. I'm addicted to StormSlots. On the 9700 I could use the camera with StormSlots open, but I can't on the 9780. It took me about a week to figure out that StormSlots hindered the camera, but once I knew to close StormSlots it's not a problem. I haven't encountered any other application conflicts. If you're considering a 9780 you won't go wrong.

I am prepared to say, i like this phone so much that as soon as there is a better bb phone out there i will sell my bold 9780 and buy it!

Maison, 24 Dec 2010can someone tell me how to unlock the kaypad of this phone?Just press the button that is located on the top and on the left side. Or just press the (*) key and the dial button (green) right after. Hope that helps u out!!
