This is a good phone. Awesome blackberry. Compact, slim, and faster. I think the design is more luxury then BB 9900. I hope Blackberry can improve more in the battery life.

This is very bad that blackberry 9790 does't support java application. So I have to think many times before purchesing bb9790.

i bought 5 of these and now all of our maid use these phone.my maids told me they stick on there iphone 4s but still they will use this 1 as thier extra phone...

Heya... I'm really interested in this phone as well as the 9780. My question, should I go for the 9780 or wait for the 9790? I'm from South Africa, so I'm not sure when the 9790 will be available here. I'm really keen for an upgrade as I'm using the 8520.

Got my 9790 yesterday, 30 Nov 2011 for RM1499.... Its really a great phone...slim, sleek and lots of new function... Dont really like 9900 as its too big, though higher spec...

yes i agree csd- blackberry still old style mobile taking a lot of money in name of BIS, slow server even slow email. people are jerk using this kind of phone go for android or iphone they are best
