The 9900 is simply a retro jump back to the initial 9000 bold with touch screen capability.

This BB 9790 looks like a curve with a Bold keyboard that's all. There are firmware updates already out for BB 9900 that improve it's battery life anyway. People that received the first batch of the BB 9900 had problems because when it comes to any product there are always problems with the first batch.

Wow already launch right... But still battery life issue... that ridiculous for the Blackberry phone... I expected more for this issue but still the same...

My purpose is Blacberry can use 2 simcard in 1 phone... In Indonesia people like that... can you do that...

RIM has done a great job with BB 9790. It definitely wins all awards being slim, powerful and feature rich machine with great looks too. Cheers to all BB 9790 owners and feel sad for people who suffered injuries and pains during the launch of BB 9790 at pacific place in Jakarta. But come to think of it, BB 9900 owners must be furious for what happened to them. BB 9900 definitely looks and feel great in hand, but when it comes to real terms of performance and features it stands nowhere in competition against BB 9790. Its a total let down for BB 9900 owners who are left being a mere freelance Blackberry fans who paid heavy price to carry a logo and brick made by Blackberry in their hand morning till night and do advertising for Blackberry. Yes BB 9900 is a mere advertising gadget made by Blackberry and nothing else as it suffers all shortcomings and have carried a hefty price tag for nothhing but looks and feel. Remember BB 8520, it can do what BB 9900 can do but with a better battery life. Isn't it friends?

I did get this phone aswell, I bought a leather case for this phone (from bb store) for IDR 200.000,- (approx 22 USD) and ordered a screen guard
                      touch n type, simply nice.

Dr D, 26 Nov 2011Hi ready2shoots: just wondering what is the battery life in... moreHid Dr.D i'm using this phone for the last 24 hours, and it takes 2 times for me to recharged the battery. app 12-13 hours per re charged.

for me it's kinda same like bold 9000 (which is the worst battery life for me) and my previous onyx 2 (9780) which last for max 15 hours.

                        my usage :
                        facebook
                        twitter
                        bbm
                        download application
                        browsing some local web
                        no phone
                        no texting
                        3G on
                        take several photo with flash
                        wifi off

i don't know if it's compare with dakota battery which I guess the same model with onyx 3, but my friend who used dakota, she said it takes her 3-4 recharged battery per day, since she's active in bbm.

for me ya it's kinda normal ya, since you run with OS 7, great capacity screen size (16M), i'm using 100% on screen brightness, no LED indicator.

and btw, yup it was happened a tragedy when the blackberry 9890 launched in Pasific place. i personally feels sorry about that. lucky for me i got my turns before the tragedy happened. it takes me stay awake since last night before the d day of launching to queuing to get the official ribbon from blackbeery as the tag.

just review for me, the material is glossy, especially around the panel pad under the lcd, it's easily gets dirty (kinda oily) by the finger prints. but it's ok.

I've already use clear screen protetctor for my Bellagio, and bought OEM soft shell case for my bellagio which cos Rp.150.000 (around $US 14).

for the touchscreen, i just can say, it's really good, you can adjust the sensitivity from the setup option. it's really useful for me, since this is the first time for me to use and owned a touch & type together in my blackberry.

compare to Dakota, ther's less differences. for me yes it's really fair to have onyx 3 than dakota, which cost more expensive than onyx 3. more or less, same features. what i dont like from dakota, it's really "BOLD SHAPE" only slimmer than previous one

You say Indonesia has 2 years fro RIM well Indonesia is the second largest market for RIM. Who wants to spend all day changing widgets in Droid. Get a life. Most people that have bought a Samsung Y are really disappointed with the entry level phone and are stuck with rubbish and a poor texting machine.

I've got this hand held. yup, onyx 3 a.k.a bellagio 9790. amaxzing phone, fast response, with internal 8gb. clear screen capacity. after all, proud being Indonesian, as the first in the world for launching this 9790. got it on 25 Nov 2011 @ pasific place. after all the messed up...

previously i'm using 9780, onyx 2. overall, great phone, nice keypad, works smoothly, no lag at all. the touchscreen also as good as dakota (i've tried my best friend's dakota).

great price also. in Indonesia, disc 50% from 4.600.000 ($US 460) become 2.300.000 ($US 230). I've got it after all of my hard works and efforts. stay wake up all night long, queuing almost 4 hours in a messed situation, finally got it!

overall best ever. my friend who owned a dakota, feels jealous to me as the owner of bellagio
