Don't compare this phone with other xyz phones (like iPhone, HTC / Samsung / LG android phones) on price front even if all of them are way ahead in features and product offerings. Just limit yourself to compare within blackberry handsets only - be a true blackberry fan bro! You need to distinguish yourself by purchasing this pricy handset; people would definitely acknowledge that you have got lots of money to spend for a chat tool (BBM) - don't you want that?! And my anonymous friend is right - please don't post comment if you are not obsessed about blackberry. It hurts our sentiment.

I love this phone. For ppl who say this is not a good phone obviously havnt used the blackberry line of phones. This is the best blackberry headset yet.
The keypad is the best I have used so far. It is not a multimedia powerhouse for others but it for sure is a multimedia powerhouse for blackberry devices.
For me bbm is very imp. Which makes blackberry very imp for me. I like the expensive price tag. Its meant to be exclusive. If u want something cheaper get the 8520.

I suggest everyone who wants to buy this phone should wait for gsmarena review, period. It's like when the iPhone 4 was first introduced and everybody was expressing his/her unsatisfaction , then everybody was buying the iPhone 4. So, we better wait.

If bb9900 dont have those features & is only meant for business use , basically email & BBm then why the hell on earth they asking 32K for this phone? you dont provide the features and than still ask for price which more then S2 , HTC Sensation , IP4 , desire , incredible s and sooo on . mind you these phones are way superior than 9900 in every which way you see but still dont cost a bomb :/ . from next time kindly do think/analyse before making such crappy post .
Cons of bb:-
1 - Every screen
2- no fm
3- below average camera with no auto-focus
4- meagre 10k free apps
5- average battery life
5- biggest joke is that when you download or update any app you have to restart the whole OS . hell are we back to stone age or what?

A good battery
A good quality camera
A secondary camera
Great looks
A fascinating touch screen experience
Voice dialing feature
Full video formats
You see, blackberry is a business phone mostly for secured emails and BBM. Of course, you can have this on 8520 for this instead of or any other phone. But you lose to flash the latest blackberry in your hand

I am an Canadian and staying in India at present. This handset has started flooding into the market here. Even if you dont own it, you can check it out at any store. DEMO (not dummy) pieces are available at all big stores here. I am not sure about the battery (as I don’t own one), but I can say RIM is imprudent in downgrading the camera and not providing a front facing camera. The back side does not look that great either. You don’t get that excited to fondle with the touch screen because of its small size. Most people, who have bought this, have bought sealed packs without seeing a Demo. I was about to buy it – fortunately, the store put a piece for the demo at the same time. And it did not impress me. Net net, at this price I feel it is ‘NO-BUY’.

Samsung galaxy s2 is reported one of the best dual core android phone,but what I felt bb 9900 processor is faster than s2.
