some say the battery lasts a day on moderate use,
some say its lasts a few hours, i think i'll go with that group.

Paid Rs.31,ooo/-[$US.685] for my BB 9900.
Battery back up is bad. Hardly lasts 4-5 hours with normal usage.
Camera picture quality is bad.
Most basic features like voice dialing are missing.
A sure let down by Blackberry.
DO NOT BUY.

Whatever possessed RIM to put a fixed focus EDOF camera on their flagship Blackberry, talk about taking a step backwards, absolute madness!
Mike Lazaredes and Jim Balsillie want their heads banging together to knock some sense into them.
Maybe they have got too much money now and they just don't care any more !

3 days using this device, its great. I am a long time blackberry user but then went to iphone for 1 year for browsing issues. this 9900 is all i need in a phone, its now great for browsing, navigating on maps, no lag atall, great pics, bbm. Awesome phone. ( i just dont like the kinda glass back, would have been more sleek with the same material as the sides (the black)

hey 9900 owners,
does it have the convieniance buttons at the top of the phone like in previous bold models?
i really like the bold 9700 how you can look the phone from the top.
will be getting 9900 when available in AUS!

KA, 17 Aug 2011At least you don't have to carry second battery. It's enoug... moreDont use the phone at all. Just keep it switched on. Dont make calls, dont texts, dont web, dont run any application, dont tap the touch-screen else the screen will glow. Amazing - Battery lasts even to third day!
Charge it in the morning, Use moderately - there would be hardly any battery power left towards the end of the day. FYI - the OS7 and the touchscreen requires higher battery power. RIM has disappointed us with this downsized battery.

Each of them are different and serves different purpose. Camera sucks as well. I waited to upgrade from bold3 to bold4 - but not this model for sure.

I am a hard-core blackberry fan. But I am pretty disappointed to see the cheap looking back panel and a pathetic camera. Is this what RIM calls its flagship model!! Gear up RIM.

Amazing phone
Battery no issue,it is like other bb phones
Os is fantastic. Best phone ever made bb. Beyond comparison.

This morning I had it finally :)
As it was said before, it is the best of all blackberries so far. Everything is perfect except you should get used to the new keyboard & touch screen combination... Thanx RIM..

So many phone companies went bust because their phones were supplied with lousy batteries. Watch out blackberry what a mess.

The bold 9900 is out in the middle east. It's a great phone but has a lousy,lousy,lousy battery life. If you are a heavy user might as well not buy this. If you use it once in a while to make a couple of short calls and a bit of messaging it's fine. Battery lasted about 3 to 4 hours before I had to charge it. This is supposed to be a phone for business users such a shame with the battery. I guess the bb 9860 will even be worse. Blackberry is now going to face a tough tough time with the new phones.

Shakoor, 15 Aug 2011over priced and battery is only 1230mah instead of 1500mahAt least you don't have to carry second battery. It's enough and OS is optimized to get you though 2 days
