i love this phone, for those who hated it and compares it to apple and android phones, well this isn't a toy, its a professional business class phone for successful people :)

am using the blackberry classic for 5 month, its very good, i advise, major apps are available on blackberry world, for other apps you can use amazon store, its not that fast compared to iphone, but its stable, doesnt hang compared to BB OS 7
so if you are not a gamer, you should buy this device, why to pay more for iphone or samsung?

Blackberry world is suffering from lack of essential apps...
If we install android apps, then it will lag too much. Because android apps are designed for android phones. Android apps are not developed for blackberry 10 phones..
Some android apps won't work without google play services app.
Missing essential apps like: ola cabs, axis bank, uber, shareit!, Viber, GOOGLE MAPS, HDFC bank, Tata sky etc..

I bought the Classic (via Amazon) when it first launched, but returned it. At the time, I didn't feel like I was getting enough out of it to justify its hefty (for me) price tag. Now, here I am, many months later - and I rebought the phone. This time, VERY slightly used, from Amazon for $260. I'm keeping it and I'm beyond happy. Why?
Because I use my phone, first and foremost, as a PHONE and a communication device. There is simply no other phone that handles calls, messages, and emails quite like this one. The Passport is too big/oddly shaped for me (I'm a woman with average-sized hands), so the Classic was my choice. I do basic social networking. I do not need a bunch of apps on my phone I'll never use - and if I want to watch movies, I have a TV and a computer. The camera is serviceable. I have installed a functioning Google Play Store on the Classic using instructions found online at Blackberry's most popular fan site. Honestly, with the Play Store added, I am not missing any apps I'd really like, except for a standalone FB Messenger. That being said, FB messenger is already integrated well into the Hub. The only thing missing is the ability to use stickers.
The build quality on this phone is nothing short of amazing. Once you acclimate yourself to its gestures, BB10 is a superb OS for navigating around. If you want a phone to play games, stream music/watch movies, this is NOT the phone for you. If, OTOH, you juggle several email addresses, social networking, texts, etc. and want a very efficient way to manage them, give the BlackBerry Classic a try.

I've been using BB classic for almost two months now and ever since i've updated the latest blackberry os10.3.2474 the battery life is getting really poor as in i put on the table with wifi connected without using it at all battery just drain like that. Anyone experienced it? need help a.s.a.p thanks.

The Classic brings perfect design, but the cpu is far too slow.
Terrible experience when making a search.
Dual core was a dumb choice. No excuse.

It can feel "clunky" which I can say the same for the iPhone safari browser, it is not smooth feeling like the Android GS6 browser. That being said, the Blackberry browser is incredibly powerful and can handle everything. With me I use MANY browser tabs at a time. I find that Safari and Chrome cant handle as many tabs and either crash or refresh the browser and the tabs. I find that the Blackberry browser handles multiple tabs fairly well! Another cool thing, something somewhat basic, but yet not an option for many, is YouTube on the browser. You can load youtube, play video on the browser, say you are working out, you load a music video and you just want to hear the song, you lock your phone, video continues to play on youtube in the background, no extra apps needed, plus downloading videos is just as simple as it is on Chrome on Android

I heard about this phone, but I heard about one thing that I am much concerned of: browser which is so slow....would any of you tell me about this? Would you recommend it to someone who wants to check news constantly?

I compare it to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPhone 5s on iOS 8.4 (which runs smoother than the Phone 6), It truly is multi tasking at its best. I do notice a small delay when swiping screens. Like if I swipe rightthere is like a nano-second of delay. GS6 and iPhone much faster of course but BB rocks, no lags no freeze either and even the browser can handle everything

everything is great , one thing. why is this rocking SD S4 plus? i have many social apps that is heavy enough to runs with.. I don't want to spent more money to get the passport just for looking the performance upgrade.. dayum

BlackBerry Classic is amazing..Size, appearance, hardware and OS perfect. Keeps you going IF you are a business person. Simply a SMART phone for SMART people... If you're not SMART enough, go for Droid.
I'll stick with this. No issues if you know how to use it. PERIOD!

BlackBerry classic is best for communication. Don't buy if you are crazy in games. Feel it! You love it.

I think blackberry has the best screen for reading in sunlight. Besides blackberry I have samsung note 4 which is great for S pen features and a great camera but reading in sunlight is very difficult. Setting the brightness to max gives little help but surely not even close to blackberry.

I bought this phone 2 months ago. I am very pleased with the operating system. Although I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S and I worked on Android, the BB is much better.
First of all, I can send and receive emails very easy from Yahoo, Gmail and dedicated servers.
You can write an email very easy and attach everything.
The text editing software included is very easy to handle and you can write a text almost as in Microsoft Office Word (you can see formating options of the text).
In the case of Blackberry, the fear is related to the apps. Now, I will write a list with the apps instaled in my phone:
Blackberry World-dedicated blackberry apps.
appstore-apps free from amazon (here you find much more apps than in Bworld)
docs to go, remember, facebook, twitter, linkedln, calculator, evernote, adobe reader, youtube, box, dropbox, whatsapp, blackberry travel, accuweather, wikipedia, fancytran, corky notes, skype, teamviewer, pinterest, candy crush saga, candy crush soda, waze, booking.com, tripscanz, shazam, viber, temple run2, temple run, easy unrar lite.
I use these apps frequently.
The battery is ok, all day long with internet conection active.
Ok, the camera is not as good as a Samsung Galaxy (A5, S3, etc). But you can manage also with BB.
The texting is very easy.
Until now (after 2 months) I didn't find something bad about this phone (ok, I can add here the camera which is medium, but this is a business phone).
