I think blackberry has the best screen for reading in sunlight. Besides blackberry I have samsung note 4 which is great for S pen features and a great camera but reading in sunlight is very difficult. Setting the brightness to max gives little help but surely not even close to blackberry.

I bought this phone 2 months ago. I am very pleased with the operating system. Although I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S and I worked on Android, the BB is much better.
First of all, I can send and receive emails very easy from Yahoo, Gmail and dedicated servers.
You can write an email very easy and attach everything.
The text editing software included is very easy to handle and you can write a text almost as in Microsoft Office Word (you can see formating options of the text).
In the case of Blackberry, the fear is related to the apps. Now, I will write a list with the apps instaled in my phone:
Blackberry World-dedicated blackberry apps.
appstore-apps free from amazon (here you find much more apps than in Bworld)
docs to go, remember, facebook, twitter, linkedln, calculator, evernote, adobe reader, youtube, box, dropbox, whatsapp, blackberry travel, accuweather, wikipedia, fancytran, corky notes, skype, teamviewer, pinterest, candy crush saga, candy crush soda, waze, booking.com, tripscanz, shazam, viber, temple run2, temple run, easy unrar lite.
I use these apps frequently.
The battery is ok, all day long with internet conection active.
Ok, the camera is not as good as a Samsung Galaxy (A5, S3, etc). But you can manage also with BB.
The texting is very easy.
Until now (after 2 months) I didn't find something bad about this phone (ok, I can add here the camera which is medium, but this is a business phone).

I've been a heavy Apple user for the last 6 years, and while I have nothing but good things to say about Apple, I found that I missed the simplicity and elegance of Blackberry (as well as physical controls), so I decided to give them another shot, and I'm very pleased with this device. Yes, the hardware isn't state-of-the-art, nor is the app selection very large, but I'm in it for the durability and productivity; it's comfortable knowing that my phone won't disintegrate if dropped from an altitude of more than 3 inches. Average battery life is easily 1.5 days, for moderate, mixed use, and over 1 day for heavy use. I would highly recommend this device to those who seek a different mobile experience, and who don't live vicariously through their mobile devices. Blackberry is for getting the job done, and getting back to living life.

Believe me I've tried lot's of different devices and the predictive text of BB's leaves the rest very wanting. as mentioned by another the address book is also the best you'll use. BB's are for communicating not playing games.

Blaçkberry has the best Address Book. It really helps business people. No other OS offers such awsome feature. Students and non business people may not require such fantastic contact manager but for business this is a great help.

I have the Blackberry Classic, just bought recently. Like any phone, it takes a little time to get round to using it, and once you have, it is quite a gem of a mobile to have.
I bought it for several reasons..its speed, keys (I am a fan of the key as I love quick dial which I use a lot and I can see text where as with Samsung, no keys, plus very hard to see the alphabet ( index of names) when you need to dial a number urgently. There are a lot of good features with the Blackberry, and I still prefer it over the Samsung even though apps on Samsung are available in a wide variety.
Blackberry has many apps you will like too, I like the world clock feature which also shows the weather conditions in each country on your list. It also has a mobile doctor feature.. not tried that though. It doesn't haven't Instagram but it does have a similar one of its own called iGram, you can download apps like Photo shakes, Skpe, YouTube, Facebook ( something I don't use) various messengers, and WhatsApp, it has a compass and so forth. Whereas on other phones you have Memo, this one comes under the title ' Remember' and there you will find all your memos, tasks and even tags, organized. You can even make voice notes.
In many ways I find it better than Samsung and it suits what I need.
The only two thing that annoyed me was getting use to the compose feature, now I am used to the features, it is okay now. It is a great phone really. The speed is amazing. The other thing, was the flimsy inserts for the sim card and SD card, you have to be careful not to lose it but then you have to actually use this special key instrument they give you to press it open. Just wondering if they left it as it was with BB bold or Torch, it would have been better.
One thing you should know is that you can't remove the battery, which doesn't bother me really anyway.
There is still a lot more I am discovering. You can use the speed dials for names or for places you want to go to on your phone like browser, clock and whatever. Speed dials... are from A-Z.. for me that is a great bonus-another reason why I like the speed dials! I just click and not have to strain my eyes to find a name.
The battery will weakened by the end of the day BUT unlike other phones, it gives you a little reserved power until you recharge it and it won't cut you off as the previous Blackberry did.
By the end of the day anyway I usually recharge. If you want to recharge faster, then a car recharger speeds it up a bit.. that's it my tip anyway.
Apart from that, it is a great mobile and I love mine.
Of course you can touch & slide to see icons on your phones, so you have the best of both worlds in that you have the key pad as well.

Hi - I really would like to get this phone but there is one absolute must: excellent battery life!
I've had BB's in the past (pre Bold) that could last over two days on a single charge.
So very interested in hearing of your experiences.

Problem with the Z3 is that it is not very robust, glass back and front as well as flimsy charging port covers.

I got really frustrated by my blackberry classic. It got great QWERTY keyboard which is great and efficient, and design is great. BUT it works so slowly for me that I can't bear it. So my advice is, if you want a smartphone which can cover all your need in daily life, don't get this one. If you need it for work only and will be having a smart phone, definitely get it!
