Hello sir.Yes,BB Classic runs most of the android apps,but you must how it works on your device.But for the long term,it's better for you to go on a BB android device like,Key2 or Key2 LE,which you can access to all the application.Thank you.

I wish the Blackberry guys would update this device with an Android OTA in their next update. This is a beautiful phon just it needs to be error free for popular apps like WhatsApp so I can enjoy this beauty. It is good that Twitter & Instagram are still working well.

Whatsapp has to be installed manually by downloading from its website and then installing it as it is not available in their store. Facebook and other popular apps do not work.

But they stopped supporting it because the OS has a shrinking userbase, and it was taking up too much time and effort to continue maintaining the app, which in turn slowed down their efforts to roll out new features for the app on other operating systems such as Android and iOS.
For security purposes, Whatsapp bans all outdated, unsupported versions of the app from signing in to their service.
