from the outside maybe this curve 3g is very similar or almost identical to 8520..
but this fone has 3g, faster processor and bigger ram than the 8520. so it means this fone is much faster in accessing menu and browsing internet. even more it's a os 6 ready blackberry device. so it's a worthy fone I think..

looks good to me. 8520 has no gps, 8900 has no 3g and the bold is too big. blackberrys are awesome!

Hello all,
i want to ask about the curve 3G. is the 3G really worth it compared to 8520?
I want to buy berry to be my secondary phone. how about the speed using BIS between edge and 3G if i only use for chatting (blackberry messenger, ym, msn) and push mail. thank you

This blackberry curve 3G 9300 is awesome. This curve is faster with 3G technology & it has the New OS 6 operating system. The newer blackberry's with 3G are really good phones! I highly recommend them! I have the Bold 9700 3G Blackberry

Basically this is a 8520 curve with os6, gps and 3g. yes, i think they should have used the 8900 curve metalic finish. it gives a more smart, business like look. i hope it won't be expensive in S.A since we paid so much for the entry level 8520
