I used this phone for a while ,and be honest these Blackberries are quite strange and unflexible peace of technology.
For me S60 series Nokia smartphones much better than any Blackberry.

As far as EDGE technology goes, the data transfer speeds are terrible, you want something faster look for something that is HSPA or "3G"

Hi Gracie, what about the EDGE technology, it's an improved version of GPRS that uses other modulation to carry more data. AN IMPORATANT NOTE; NOT all area are covered with EDGE, the most coverage goes for GPRS, u shall see a "E" symbole if EDGE coverage is availabe and ur mobile supports it. Regards

I've had the 8320 for 3 weeks now ..and its a great phone!
1) the wi-fi works IF you know how to turn it on properly
2) no problems with texting or anything else
3) battery life is pretty good too
overall....i'd give it a 8 out of 10.
If they would get xenon flash, 5mp, gps, and all the functions it has now....it would be on top of the market
