hello, i am from MP, India.
i own a blackberry devise 8520 curve and i use BSNL GSM post paid service. my problem is: my BSNL plan (Plan 525) offers me internet usage of 100 MB free upload/download facility. can i use my BB to avail this offer without subscribing to the bb dedicated internet offer. i can use this free data upload/download with other mobile like Nokia E71. cab i use the same for BB 8520 Curve.
kindly reply soon as i am very likely to change my bb 8520 to nokia e71.

amz, 03 Jul 2010hey i'd like to know if the applications are on will be ba... moreThe default apps (phone, messages, internet, BBM and home) will always be on. They aren't battery consuming. If you leave a lot of apps open, then you will notice battery drainage. Apps like UberTwitter and some weather apps need to run in the background for updates, for these make them update at least ever 15 minutes. If you put them at 5 or 10 the battery will drain faster. Try to avoid having too many of these apps. If you're done with an app, close it. Battery life is relatively good on all Blackberry phones. Mine goes for almost 2 days of heavy usage.

If you have a Blackberry with a flash, go to camera, press menu and select options. Flash can be set to on, auto or off. Again, this phone doesn't have one.

hey i'd like to know if the applications are on will be battery consuming? like when i go to "Switch Applications" i see some apps that cannot be closed, and some that can be closed. But i thought the ones that cannot be closed are defaults and shouldnt be battery consuming, so what about those that can be closed? Im sorry if this sounds pretty confusing, just needed a lil help here. thanks :)

If you want to transfer thing between a PC and your Blackberry, you need Desktop Manager. Download it from the Blackberry website. Once installed, plug in your phone and let it install the drivers. Once the computer says that the software is installed and ready to use, you can start transfering. If you plug the phone in without the drivers or SW it won't be read. I tried it with my mom's 8350i and it didn't work until I used DM. Or you could take out the memory card and use an adapter to plug it in, that should allow a quicker transfering of media in mass storage mode.
