Now coming to the reply u'd given Blackberrain regarding locating n deleting of files via the options and then the applications, etc, I have noticed tat it doesn't always work... As in, the files may appear to be deleted on the third party application list, however there are certain files which still remain in the phone and do not entirely get wiped out..even some of the applications recommended by bb..
now to recheck tat, one has to go to the main bb menu... select applications, then select FILES, n next select FILE FOLDERS, after tat click on BLACKBERRY n then there wud be the application downloads list.. u wud be amazed to find certain programs still there even when deleted like the way u mentioned.. u can select those applications n delete them here. this will ensure tat the elimination is PERMANENT... try it... n hey thanks again...

The media player could have a glitch or a bug and will keep on messing up. My mom's 8350i had that issue and I updated her phone and now it's working. So, try and see if you want to update it or get your carrier's official OS from the BB website.

Well, to answer your questions, like onesmartwoman said, press menu and then Show All to see any hidden apps. But sometimes there are icons like Myspace that are shortcuts and not apps. They have to be downloaded and you can't delete them. To see what you actually do have installed go to (OS 4.6) Menu-Options-Advanced Options-Applications. This will show you all the apps. On OS 5 go to Menu-Opciones-Applications and you can see third party apps (games, themes, apps you download) and you can see the RIM apps like WLM, BBM and others on a different list. From here you can delete what you don't want. As for memory, there are apps like Quick Pull and another one that reboot your phone when you reach a certain limit of memory but I don't really think you need that. To "shrink" the OS, deleting things you don't use from the BB core apps, you need something like BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife. I don't know the page but google BBSAK and you might find it. Or, on your phone, google MaxMem and that will delete files you don't need and then delete itself and allows you to have more memory. I haven't used it but people recomment it alot. Investigate a bit before using these memory apps because you might delete something you shouldn't.
