Mine is the same way. I get the red LED blinking and then like 1 or 2 seconds later it vibrates and rings, for everything: calls, messages, Facebook notifications, emails. Its perfectly normal :D

Didie, 22 Mar 2010I got my curve 8520 2 weeks ago and boy I LOVE it soooo muc... moreI haven't tried color ID but y have BeBuzz free for LED alerts on missed calls and messages. I really like my weather app: BeWeather free. It has a nice interface and has nice icons for your themes with weather slots. Those and UberTwitter, if you use Twitter, are really the only apps I can recommend since I've used them. Facebook, messengers and other default apps are what I use more, though. Except lately Facebook has been a pain in the a** :)

I have tried sending music /pictues... moreGo to your media icon and click on the BB button to bring up the menu and you will see receive using bluetooth. click on it and then you can send from another device to your BB. But before all this make sure that both devices have been paired.

lildude, 21 Mar 2010Does this BB stil have problems with the bluetooth connecti... morenope..its true that BB is a bit complicated in sending n receiving pic or song via bluetooth..but all u need is play with ur BB especially ur gemini more often..then u will figure out its amazing man..i dont have any probs in sending n receiving via bluetooth with my gemini..first u need to open the BT(switch in on) then pair it with the other device..to receive or send ur need to open ur media player..from there u can make it done..once u get it then u will know how superb it is..cheers bro!!

I got my curve 8520 2 weeks ago and boy I LOVE it soooo much it's my only toy!
have you guys tried the Color ID app? i think it is one of the best BB apps
what other apps do you guys like?

I've always charged my batteries the same way and never had a problem. The first 3 or 4 charges should be like that, when it reaches low battery you charge it. But my battery is really worn in now. 4 months old :D
My phone never goes below 25%. And I use it a lot. I plugged my phone in this morning at 8:33am and at 10am it was at 100%. That is 1 hour and 27 minutes. Try charging it like that and see if it charges quicker.

Does this BB stil have problems with the bluetooth connection ? I wanted to buy one, had problems with the bluetooth and sent it back. If anyone can help me, cheers in advanced. Stil want to get one tho.

When I use my phone alot: from... moreyes dude..that is my style..i ONLY charging my devices when they r almost depleted..like my iphone 3g,i use it until the battery turns red n shows 10%..then it takes about 2 hours for full charge(100%)..my old E63(now i gave it to my wife)also used until it become 1 bar..also took about 2hours..but my gemini has took 3-4 hours to reach 100% from 5%..thats y im asking whether it is normal or not..so,i think maybe u rite pal..but JRF,i dont remember where i get this info but i like to tell u..if u want to charge ur device make sure that the battery must reach the "low batt" level,coz if not it can ruins the battery life if u charge the battery regularly n not "at the time,supposed"..

If you don't bother having it received late, get a NOKIA....LOLLLLLZZZZ. Obviously, you bought this (if you did) not knowing its not a multimedia and purely business phone!.

Its marvelous, I was just complaining bout it not having a radio when suddendly, I got an installation of a radio, now I can even listen to international radio stations...its face book is just super, .worth my R3200

When I use my phone alot: from 930am to 1130 pm I have about 30% or 2 1/2 bars left. I leave it in standy mode, wake up at 800 and plug it in... so it takes about 1 to 1 and a half hours to go from 30 to 100%. I remember reading that when a battery is almost full depleted (like yours at 5%) it takes longer to fully charge. I don't know or remember why, but I guess it is true, that's why when the battery is new they tell you to let it go out and fully charge over 8 hours, to keep it's strength. I never let my battery go below 2 bars.
