hi!! i am absolutely in love wit the bb 8520 but really apprehensive about it!!
nobody in my circle has it and i am confused if ill be able to use it properly!
a better deal could be nokia e71 coz i am kinda familiar wit nokia phones and looks like a safe deal!!!
and yea do we need to take a plan thru BIS for accessing WIFI too?

Hello together,
want to buy the 8900 curve or 8520. I know the differences between the devices. Can somebody post his expierences with the quality of the 8520 ´s screen. Is it bright and clear? What about the resolution compared to the 8900 curve. is it very notable? thx for your answers.

EDGE is perfectly decent for emails and chatting. Even surfing the web for certain things. As a consumer phone, internet isn't the best thing blackberry has but they are releasing their webkit browser soon. Especially when 3g isn't available everywhere or is far more expensive than EDGE.
And agreed, Blackberrian. 2.5G is pretty fast on this device. If a 3g device doesn't have HSDPA it isn't that much faster than a 2.5g device.

sgaawc, 25 Mar 2010NO 3G TECHNOLOGY, this phone is not acceptable to be classi... moredude..although it doesnt has 3G tech but i guarantee u this BB gemini is one of the best smartphones in the market..yes,it runs in 2G or EDGE but the internet connectivity n the speed is so awesome..i know u dont own this superb fone..or maybe u dont get the chance to hold n feel it..so i suggest u better get lost dude..coz i hate pple like u,who doesnt know anything about technology n what the hell is smartphone..dont act like u r smart enough even though u knew it u r nothing..so plzz leaves us happy..dont try to make chaos n mess here buddy..i think u just own a cheap nokia 1100..so,be it n live happily with that dude..chow!!

Guys I just bought my curve 8520. Its an awesome phone!! but doesnt come with a pdf reader. can any1 please suggest me a free pdf reader

NO 3G TECHNOLOGY, this phone is not acceptable to be classified as a smart-phone in a short-notice, instead, this could be a dumby-phone.

camera pics are very very clear. its just 2 mega pixel its so cleared. imagine if it was 3 or 5 megapixel how clear it could be. excellent camera.

hs, 24 Mar 2010hey cn any1 pls tell me hows da camera clarity?? is it good... morecant believe theres many ppl push their expectation hard to the cam(or any multimedia) on office-oriented mobile... if u r looking for cams try SEs they got 12mp++, then 2mp still 2mp, being clearer or not r about cam sensor and the display colour(on LCD),,, thats it

hs, 24 Mar 2010hey cn any1 pls tell me hows da camera clarity?? is it good... moreerm..to me its decent already to have a 2MP cam in this great device..well,what do u expect from 2MP?as long as it can take a pic than it is ok already..but one thing for sure,in my opinion when i compared it to other device such that also using a 2MP like nokia,gemini win..coz its more clarity than nokia..besides,ive tried taking a pic under direct sunlight,still the pic is superb..

If you are using it for Random picture taking then its OK, if you are after something sophisticated, then its not.

Yes, light first then a second later ... moreYeah, that's normal. At least that's how it has always been for me. Even with BeBuzz Free my LED blinks a second later. So I would say nothing wrong with it there! :)
