blackberrian, 05 Mar 2010LOL..that is y u dont know the EDGE performance in this dev... morei do know the EDGE performance,,, some(actually most of) carrier give some special service on BB APN connection.... thats y we get stable/better EDGE performance than other 3G by ordinary line.... but here i got some special data plan so i can use stable 'ordinary' 3G line on other set.... still way faster.... think that if this BB could grab 3G or even HSDPA(or maybe i'll upgrade to get on those :D)... still IMO BB couldnt hand much online task(more if u use it like me)... the battery life wasnt good enuf,,, dont push me to pack this up w/ custom made electricity/batt LoL

JRF, 05 Mar 2010@Blackberrian My Facebook app is working now, at least it... morebro..thanx god man..mine also working like usual,like it should be..act,i didnt notice about this coz right now im bz chatting in FB via my laptop n i heard all the notifications coming through my cool gemini besides me but i just ignore it..then when i saw ur post here saying that urs working like normal again..then i simply check n nahh it back to normal dude..y was that huh..its kinda weird if something happen to my gemini it also looks like happen to u also..hahaaha..i think this is something to do with the BIS..maybe when we connected through the same medium although u n i or everybody stay so far away frm each other but the things happened in the BIS will effect to all subscriber..what say u?

Was going to buy the 9700, but what put me off was the price. It is a fantastic handset, but when it comes down to the cash... an extra €250 between the 8520 and 9700 it was not worth the few extra features. Only real extra features are 3G a slightly faster processor. Nervously I got the 8520 and am so happy I did not waste the extra cash. If money is no concern 3G and the processor are great, plus the 9700 looks amazing astatically but 8520 is still the better buy for the money, which is always my most important decider for me!

Love my BB. Used to be a Sony Ericsson fan, but really really happy with this one. Took me a while to get into it, particularly with the tiny buttons, but now i've got it 100% covered. Brilliant for email, huge storage capacity, I wouldn't change a thing. I went Black, definitely not going back... ;-)

This phone is definitely going places. My only problen is that its not 3G. I have bluetooth pictures and music from and to other phones without any problem. To recieve via bluetooth you have to select recieve via bluetooth.

I just a phone that won't... moreyes dude..im agreed with what u said..i got ur point homie..now i feel a bit comfortable as i know u also facing the sme problem..meaning it is not me only who faced the prob..yes,my ym also does not always login..sometimes it logout itself..but that doesnt bother me as it only happen 4-5 days once..but th FB things is what im worry rite now..u know what bro,let us wait n see how does the aspen works..im kinda like the aspen..heheheh..but it running on winmo as i never use any winmo yet..but,y not giving it a try..who knows it maybe a worth shot..hehehe..

I still don't know which one, they all have defects. BeBuzz works for missed calls. The full version lets you change the led color and frequency for all your notifications (email,incoming and missed calls, texts, etc). The free version only lets you switch the led for incoming and missed calls. Its enough for now. What bothers me is the App memory being "lost" when I use it. No other phone does that. I can't install UberTwitter because it takes away even more memory. From 120,1 mbs I have 109,7 mb after one day. I wish I didn't have to keep pulling out the battery. Now Facebook isn't working properly (again) and my MSN messenger doesn't always login or gives me errors after chatting for a while. I'm thinking of getting the Nokia e75 or a black e71, I'm just checking out nokia's messaging service. It now offers Windows Messenger. The iPhone is too expensive for me right now and I hate its battery life. The only Android phone in my country is the Motorola Dext. I like it but don't want to create a Google account just to use a phone. Meanwhile, Blackberry needs to fix its small yet annoying defects.

Faceb... morerelax dude..u sound like u give up already..to me this is the great fone..although i have iphone but after i had purchased this gemini i always play with it compared to my iphone..i also plan to get a new one for my 3rd phone..i just cant figured it out yet..but i think it far away from now..in fact i do hv the plan to buy the onyx but i plan to get it after 1 year from now..hehehe..till that time i think that i want to make a full use of this device n study all aspect about it..n who knows i will hack it 1 day LOL..if i do buy the onyx,i think i still wanna keep this gemini..
as u said that the fb app is unstable,i also noticed that when i open my fb via gemini the page seems not same like when i open it via laptop..is it normal?
about the apps world im still waiting when does it will be available in my contry..although i have my BIS availability but without apps world it sometimes seems useless to me as im difficult to search n install any apps that suits to me..its like iphone w/out apps store..haha..argh damn..so does the be buzz thing suits u?is it great app??

A lot of people don't use it but I do because it was a great way to stay in touch with my Facebook contacts. If they don't create a stable app soon I'll probably just use the mobile site. BeBuzz Free is working for me with blinking LED for missed calls. I just wish it would do it natively and not wth an app. I might buy a new phone soon so I won't complain in the meantime. I'm getting tired of having to pull out the battery to recover the 10-19 mb of memory lost during daily use.

JRF, 03 Mar 2010You are correct, the battery will always be misread if you ... moreerm,well jrf..i think its kinda sucks man when i had to open a FB via opera..coz,if that the things,makes well i open it by my laptop at home rite?b4 dis,dis thing not happened u know..only recently this issue came up..ok,in my previous post,ive posted that when i open the msges it seems that all comment needs to open up via links..but as i try it again today i found that if someone post to MY OWN WALL then only i can straigh away chat n see the others comment..but,ive post to someones wall's n get the notifications,to view that i need to click to the links..y was tht huh...its fussy u know..damn..about the LED still not knowing the best solution as the results still remains the same..when got the missed calls the LED will not blinking at all..arghh..

1) i dont use gemini for FB etc ... moreYou are correct, the battery will always be misread if you use it a lot. For instance, I charge my phone, unplug it. Then, I listen to music. The screen dims. I check my phone after a while and all the bars are filled. But, if I go to menu>options>status it will say something like 8
95%. If I turn it off and back on the first bar will go away. Its the same on most phones.
As for Facebook, I too am getting those messages, mainly from when I write from wall to wall or a discussion forum. Facebook has always had issues, I still use it but kinda get tired. I think these messages have to do with the Facebook page update. We lost connection and now it just seems to be more instable than before. Just use opera mini for those. By the way, I've been told not to worry about the LED, still I know it should blink. But they recommended using BeBuzz Free. I got it from app world, try looking in the forums if you can't find it.
