Original_Jamaican, 15 Feb 2010Anybody knows how to delete ALL contacts from the SIM with ... moreI don't think there is a way. At least I don't know of any. Why don't you try creating a backup of your contacts without the duplicates, then delete all of them from your phone and load up the backup file. Just open the desktop manager and go to backup and restore and select advanced. From there select the adress book and you chould be able to create a file to replace your current contact list with duplicates, for one without duplicates.

Anybody knows how to delete ALL contacts from the SIM with one go ? I don't see a DELETE ALL option.

The thing is I see duplicates for each contact and I'm thinking the Blackberry BOLD is reading from phone memory and SIM simultaneously. Anybody else ever had this problem ?

i've already put my hand on this phone and i kinda like it. really luv the qwerty keypad, feel so comfort to use. the functionality is great. the camera is good but no flash. but what more can u expect from a phone with this price right? if u want a blackberry in cheaper price, get yourself one of this.

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2010yes i agree with you on the point BES is by far the best fo... moreI never could get it to work, then again I didn't have it long enough to figure it out. Learn something new each day. One thing though, blackberry does multitask. And I don't understand that stuff about paying extra for BIS services. From what I know, here if you get a Blackberry it automatically goes with the Blackberry data plan, or in my case, BIS for prepaid with unlimited data for a month, no contract. And any other phone (iPhone, Nokia or SE, etc) goes with a 3G data plan, which costs the same as Blackberry plans. But they aren't compatible, so maybe this is what you mean? That was what stopped me from buying a blackberry in the first place, exclusively tied to Blackberry. But, in the end its the same, roughly 45 US dollars for unlimited data and 60 minutes plus text for any, Blackberry, or iPhone or any other data plan.

JRF, 14 Feb 2010If their push email is free then why do I need a data plan ... moreyes i agree with you on the point BES is by far the best for business emails and is more secure, but this is what RIM are good at and known for. corporate email is RIM's territory.

most owners of BB's and nokia E series use webmail (i.e google, aol, windows live hotmail etc etc...), so in this case BES doesn't really matter unless were talking corporate email.

as for nokia messaging push email, the service is free so long as you have any Internet data plan from your carrier/network, however with BB's you need to have a BB service plan which is another additional cost if its not built into your data service plan.

nokia messaging service does work over wifi you need into settings > service info > access point from nokia messaging application

I've been a blackberry user (curve 8310 & 8900), but prefer symbian as it supports TRUE multi tasking and offers alot more applications.

Uh oh heat comes,, please.... use a good word to post or tell us that u're make a bad joke. Both r good, as i said each vendor has it own skill on some feature. Then choose urs than telling bad bout other w/o a good reason. and IMO e63 is the match for gemini cz their price r near and e63 more stable than e71. I suggest u guys try both,,,, then discuss

Anonymous, 14 Feb 2010this phone is rubbish, how can you compare this to a nokia ... moreIf their push email is free then why do I need a data plan for it to work on my old n85? It didn't work over wifi. And the e63 is as plastic-y as this one. Yes, Symbian has lots of apps but a lot of them are buggy, copies of others and are worthless to some users. Granted, the e63 has advantages over the Gemini, just as this has its advantages over the e63. But it not rubbish, especially since it has a more stable OS, offers better security for corporate email with BES. So they are both equally competitive. But for the price, I'd rather pick the e71 over the e63, now that is a Nokia Eseries worth going for.

Right now your main options would be Bolt Browser or Opera Mini. I personally prefered Bolt Browser for sites like youtube, since it supports flash, but I think you need wifi. But I mainly use the default browser for sites like Facebook or this site. Its pretty fast to me and most sites render well.

this phone is rubbish, how can you compare this to a nokia e63 (which are on the same price level), symbian has 1000's of apps and blackberry has a few hundred.

you guys talk about getting push email on your blackberry, nokia has the exact same service for FREE! you dont need to pay for a service plan like BB's.

BB's are not just for buiness people anymore, i now see alot of KIDS using BB's, especially the 8520 which looks and feels like a toy.
