JRF, 05 Jan 2010There was someone that said something about build quality? ... moreyo JRF,never get mad dude..i know it hurts ur feeling when someone with narrow minded blindly critics about our beloved device..this pple is actually nothing but only knows how to make chaos n also dont have enough knowledge about devices n gadget..yes,it is true the gemini is made by plastic but apart of that the device itself is actually great..i think it is more convenient using a device which is made by plastic and looks "cheap" although it actually had quite expensive price and good brand name instead of using a metal or some steel on it n looks "expensive n style " but lousy rite..the plastic itself is good becoz it prevent ur finger print left on ur device whenever u use it..unlike the steel it is a frenz of finger print..u know what i mean rite..then,when u talk too long it can caused hot to ur ear n finger! what for?everything n everybody has advantage n disadvantges..so y blame it if u not using it..f**k them all..hahahah

Ok so got this phone partly because I couldn't afford the bold partly because I love the old curve series and that I wanted to try the trackpad. I was so surprised when I started using it its a really really great handset. I am comparing it to the phone I had before it which was a htc touch hd. Firstly the 2mega pixel camera is actually better that the 5mp on the htc, there is no lag or drag when videoing. The browser is really quick to considering there is no 3G I haven't even had to turn on the wifi on yet ! There is a bit of a plasticky feel but I'm used to that from the old curves so its not a big deal. I have had loads of phones , iphone 3gs, other blackberrys baisiclly any phone in the last 3 years worth talking about and I can honestly put this little thing right up there with the best of them. I would strongly recommend this phone to anyone and consifering the price its a complete bargin. Oooh nearly forgot recommend downloading opera browser as the in built browser doesn't really render the pages as well.

There was someone that said something about build quality? If you want something better than just a plastic phone, than spend the money to buy one. Why complain about a cheap phone that's made of plastic? I think the plastic used is nice enough and strong enough. The Nokia 5800 which is also made of plastic was labled "good for the price" but here it sells at 700 dollars. And this, being also made of plastic, sells for 290. Value for money? The BB of course.

They act like they expected this to be like the Bold 9700 and since it's not, they said it practically sucked. Luckily there are more sites and each have their own view on things, some more felxible than others. Also, mine doesn't GPS. It has the option but it doesn't have a chip. My gf's 8350i does, and the icon that's like this: o))), shows it. The 8530, however, does have GPS. Anyway, I don't care for GPS :)

When exiting an app, don't press the End key because that leaves them running in the backgroung. Mine lasts about one day and I'm a heavy user.

I've BIS plan and EDGE coverage in my area, but my BB 8520 takes loooooooooong to connect to the internet and load images.
Is it the same with all BB 8520 smartphones?
