AD, 04 Jan 2010Please advise me weather to buy BB 8520 or Nokia E 72 / 71?Depends upon your usage. If you are not looking at office email support and more inclined towards multimedia features like internet surfing, watching videos through WiFi or 3G (BB 8520 doesnt support 3G)then E71/72 is much better.Even the build quality of E71/72 is much better.

This is my first BB smartphone and had it 4 almost a month now. I've used an htc before, but don't compare to BB. This is the best phone I've ever, and I don't think I'll move to another brand. Keep on making them RIM.

I bought this last week and decided to return it the next day. If you care about "build quality" like I do, you'd realize this is such a crappy phone.. the phone/menu/cancel buttons are hard to press because of its plastic property.. you need to press it with the tip of your fingernail.. the screen resolution is crappy.. and the trackpad is wobbly at best!

hi, this is the first blackberry i have owned and i have to say its a joy, i got the phone free on a £20 a month contract 24mths tmobile, it was a couple of hours before i got the hang of the menus/setup etc but now i find it so easy, the keyboard is a joy and the trackpad is amazing, it works a lot like a laptop, the internet is just like a laptop too, i have just purchased a samsung n130 netbook, i think if i got the phone first i wouldnt have bothered with the netbook. camera is not bad but you hardly go out to take great pictures with your phone do you. all in all i would recommend this phone to anyone, 5 stars

It's my first time to get BB phone if ever but before I do so, I want something cleared first. It's about BIS plan. We don't have BIS plan yet in our country. Now, if you don't subscribe for a BIS plan, is it true that you CANNOT send/receive e-mails or have instant messaging (i.e. YMessenger) on the phone? OR is it only referring on the up to the minute e-mail service (same like PUSH e-mail) that WILL NOT be available if you don't have BIS plan? Say you'll just surf the internet or open your e-mail on a regular internet browser like opera mobile or internet explorer, is it still possible or not? I hope I'm making a point here and not sounding too dumb, I'm just not sure what this BIS plan is.. I'd appreciate anyone's help, thanks...

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Depends on your requirement. Not sure if you want to access office emails on your phone and if your firm allows access from both Nokia and Blackberry. If yes, then opt for E71 as its more rich in multimedia functions. E63 and BB 8520 are very close from a multimedia features, though I prefer the key pad of E63 more.
