I too feel battery life is bit on the lower side... am a medium chat user (gtalk) n few email access ...n nothing more (no camera or music or browsing or phone call too ) still battery lasts only 36-42 hours after full charge...

I didnt receive any message. I instead deleted all the accounts and recreated them still problem persists for gmail account on BB with same id.
I did also send service pack to check accounts, and message i got was all respective accounts are configured successfully.
i dont know why this gmail account on BB is behaving like this (i.e. not display mails from similar ids i own with other domains)

hello folks..im about to buy this device within this month but i hv a few ques..i hope that smbody could lend me ur hand bout this..
1)since this device does not support 3g,how is it's performance during surfing the net using the EDGE connection?
2)as i know that without the BIS,is it possible for me to surf the net like nokia and so on?
3)does bb has a 3rd party platform such as apps store for Iphone and OVI Files for nokia?
4)does this device really great?

i bought my 8520 last week and i dont know how to add or change my theme? it seems it is only precision Zen (the sunflower) available in the phone. can anyone give me a hint on how to change my team?

No office editor, no 3G, camera only 2MP?? Wake up guys there are plenty options to spend your money other than this.

2 months user,
Pros: Loud speaker, BB Messenger works great, if u love to text or chat, this phone might be suitable for u... works great wit google map (pity dun hav GPS)
Cons: Camera kind of poor especially under low light, finger print nightmarez, unable to load flash websites n kind of down especially on FB, Battery life kind of short, limited applications n themes (not like Iphone tonnes of app)
In order to get some app download n install, it;s necessary to download BB WORLD APP (which not available in every country such as MALAYSIA etc). Kind of troublesome also...

Got new 8520, now how can one import contacts to BB?
it is possible to get contacts from gmail contacts list?
as i need i the email address for mailing purpose from my BB.
also any other way to add contacts (along with phone nos.) than doing it manually and how do we take back up of contacts list on BB

I have a question, I haven't been able to get my Blackberry plan activated (have it on prepaid right now) and since my BIS service was suspended until reactivating through the unlimited plan, I haven't been able to use my wifi. It keeps saying "error, conection to internet has failed. Contact your service provider if problem persists". Any idea how to use wifi until I get my plan?

Navin, 14 Dec 2009thanks JRF.. its done... now another issue i face is ... moreI replied earlier but it said a moderator would add it after checking! Well, I had 3 emails and they all had the same id (ex: 123@) but the only one I had trouble with was my hotmail account. When I activated them I reveived a message saying that everything was done correctly, but when my hotmail account was done the message said something about an "action requiered" that needed to be done. Something about changing the settings for my emails to be saved on my server or something. My yahoo and blackberry emails worked but not my hotmail. So I just deleted it. Maybe you recieved the same message?

I havent used the blackberry yet. But I had a nokia e71. Before my purchase i was in love with e71. but that changed once i had it. its loaded with features that you dont need. the keypad is difficult to use. like many nokias, it makes a screetchy noise whenever you take a photo, even in silent mode.
so before you buy an e71, try it out for a day or two. some people love it and some hate it.
