I got my emails, updates from facebook, msn conversations and surfing forums while on the go and didn't have issues. The only down side like I said is the fact that you can't stream vids. But, again, there's wifi for that.

ar, 19 Dec 2009can anyone please tell me how fast the internet is while us... moreWell, this Blackberry has an Edge conection while the iPhone 3GS has 3G. Which is faster and can be used to stream media and web is faster. Edge can't really stream vids but you can through wifi. But I'm sure I read something about the Bold not being as fast as other 3G phones because the data goes through BB's servers to fit better on the phones or something like that. Of course you can use Opera.

faisal, 05 Dec 2009this model is my first bb i enjoy it so far except it's bl... moreThe reason you cant recieve files is because a blackberry doesn't recieve files like a nokia or samsung due to security of the phone. If you want to recieve a music or picture file, you go to media on the blackberry devise, select pictures, ringtones or music, then click on the blackberry button and select recieve via bluetooth. The blackberry device will then accept the file you having sent to your blackberry

hi gooday how i love my phone amazing i just activated my drive safe from the blackberry web sight and it now allows me to hear all emails and sms soo thats amazing

Its my first BB, i think its a very good quality phone, 3-4days battery life, much better than my P1i, lots of apps

BB 8520 is surprisely very good phone - fast, strong, you don't need to restart (for example WinMobile, Symbian), e-mail and apps works perfect.
the only problem is the battery life in TALK TIME - i talk a lot (about 1:30-2:00h. a day) and every night my BB is in the charge. Standby mode is great but not for talking.

got this phone about a week back. worked perefctly fine.. all of a sudden it read JVM error 517, reset, and since then tried to remove and battery and restart many time but have not managed..am not able to re-install the software as well as the phone is not being detected by the system. totally frustrated at the moment.. any ideas out there??

To create an email with BB, I just used the email setup assistant and at the bottom there was an option to create an account with them, I just put my id and password and that's it.

Applications 3rd parties only supplied if you use BIS
FYI, I use BIS service and this phone is very impressive for browsing with opera mini, and receive e-mail with attachment 3 Mb only 10 second download (compression file is very amazing)
