I DONT know why some jokers are comparing nokia and BB . This forum is meant for reviews on BB 8520 only
but some m0r0ns dont get wat they are supposed to post.
Nokia is good in its own way. BB is good in its own way.. It all depends on one factor.. the USER and wat he/she wants. simple!!!

bought my phone in south africa after doing extensive internet checks on the specs of the 8520 and now very disappointed that the phone camera does not have a flash, although at least 4 comparisons i did said that it does!

Paul, 09 Sep 2009What exactly you can do with Black Berry what you can't do ... moreCorrection guys nokia do provide push e-mail now for free!! The nokia e75, e55 and e52 already come with the software, for other nokia series s60 phones you just download the application and install onto your phone, you dont need to have a special data plan like blackberry, just a normal internet connection, so nokia can do what blackberry can, but nokia does it better.

Type "nokia mail" into google search engine to get the free application.

nokia e series is way better thn any blackberry. The only plus that blackberry has over e series is its unlimited push email and internet access. And I really do hope nokia will solve this issue ASAP.

john doe , 08 Sep 2009who are you fooling guys the kind of softwares available fo... moreBlackberrys Wi-Fi security standard isn't the ONLY pain, BLUETOOTH as well.

First of all, with Blackberrys you can't receive a file via bluetooth unless you pair with the person. Nokia can receive OR send files without pairing first.

To make matters worse with Blackberrys, before you can receive a file via bluetooth you have to go in bluetooth settings, select the paired person who wants to send you the file and allow permission to receive the file from that person. That is total foolishness.

With Nokia just turn on bluetooth and receive. Straight to the point quickly and easily.

I would be silly to give up Nokia for Blackberry!!!!!!

Anonymous, 08 Sep 2009The Nokia doesn't even compare to this phone because there ... moreYou are right. The Nokia DOESN'T compare to this phone because the Nokia can do EVERYTHING the Blackberry can't.

I have a E51 and it easily beats any Blackberry. I have test Blackberrys and they don't come close to Nokia E-Series which is also corporate level high end enterprise solution like Blackberrys.

I would never waste my money on a Blackberry. E-Series does a whole lot which Blackberry cannot do...like backup entire phone memory to memory card which include contacts, text messages, notes, Calendar appointments, phone settings etc. and it can be restored at will. Mine can make calls over the internet, both VOIP and SIP. I can make MSN and Skype calls and other IM calls. I can upload my contacts to a backup server and a whole lot more. I can't list all the features here. I can even do all these without a SIM card even being in my phone. I use Wi-Fi to do all these, FREE internet access. I can even print e-mails, text messages, notes etc. over Wi-Fi, bluetooth and more. The print feature works flawlessy. I easily print to a LAN HP printer at my office...no cables, nothing whatsover but wireless communication. Somebody tell me which Blackberry can do all that ?

Just thought I would mention a few more goodies. My Nokia Enterprise can also be accessed via a computer wireslessly. I can use my computer to access my phone's memory card without a data cable or with a data cable. I can also use my voice to compose an e-mail, text message etc.

With all these capabilities at my disposal why should I waste money buying a Blackberry ? I'm glad I don't have one.

a blackberry has push email. which means your emails do not have to connect to a server and download the emails, they come straight to the phone like an sms. Also at an addtional cost per month blackberry unlimited emails and internet access, even with no credit on your phone. Nokia has none of the above.
