I`ve had my bb 8900 for a week now and I am very happy with it.email is fantastic,takes seconds to send and receive,however with attachments like pictures can take a couple minutes depending on the size of the file.battery life is good if you don't use the web browser to often.watching videos is amazing,crisp picture.however doesn't supporr mpg format.the bis service is pretty cheap and a very good deal.

Had my 8900 for 2 months now and I'm really happy with it. It has every function that I could ever need plus some extra. People have commented on the battery life, try turning off your GPS, with it turned off my battery lasts 3 or 4 days at least. Finally now there is the Blackberry version of the app store there is so much more you can download for your phone and most of it is free. I just downloaded a free GPS tracker for mine which is very accurate so it'll never be lost. I used to change my phone every year but I'll be with this one for years.

I just got it 2weeks ago. Its a great phone but baterry life suks compare to E71. Also the connection very slow.

had my phone for two wks . the email part ,mmmm takes about 30 min to get it. internet browser slow, slow , slow! My tdash was way faster. I just got the screen cover for it . You should get one since you already spent alot of money. battery sucks.

its been a week since i have been using this phone . i must say its a great business phone and it also has soe good multimedia features too. the screen is awesome .The camera is a boon . takes real good pictures , also is thepush email system that keeps you ahead of the rest . dont think twice before buying this phone . p s it also has wifi . tc guys

hi,
goy my phone last week. must say the battrey life is pathetic. i had a E71 earlier and the battery life was fantastic as compared to curve.
can you please tell me how to enhance the battrey standby time? the battrey does not even las tme for a day.
also any idea why the LED notifier after a missed call does not continue to blink red like the way it does when a sms is received?
how can you check if the phone and battrey are original?
will any version update on the cell improve the battrey life.
please assist.......

Just got my Javelin yesterday!
I've been with Sony Ericsson and HTC, and by far Blackberry is the way to go!
The only disadvantage that I found was that the back plate gets scratched easily. Other then that, it's easy to use and has a good screen resolution.
A phone worth getting!

this will be my next phone... Will never go back to any other handset, awsome warrenty, easy menu, can be a personal phone for teenages or a business phone for people.. Everything rolled into one! BB Messenger is the best! RIM bring on 2009!

Javelin can play wmv, avi, mp4, 3gp and divx. if it doesn't play it's because the way the video file is encoded. My javelin can play video resolution up to 480x352
