Makarious, 06 Apr 2009ts not as good as sony ericsson's XperiaWhat???? are you mad! the xperia is the worst piece of junk SE have ever produced! they should have stuck to thier own operating system! Ive owned many different handsets in the past including winmob and symbian phones and the 8900 curve is the best phone ive ever owned...no going back blackberry all the way

BlackBerry is for real people not for moaners, that wants everything on a handset, even if a company comes with one they still moan because of the price tag.
BB push email is the best! BB has revolutionized how emails shoud be sent and recieved, if it wasn't for BB no other company would have put push email support on their handsets. loving my 8900 javelin!! 2009 is for Blackberry!!

Sherezad, 03 Apr 2009Hi can anyone tell me if the track ball lights up in the da... moreNo, the trackball does not light up in the dark. Yes the 8900 supports doc,xls and ppt. but a 3rd party is needed for pdf, (i can't the app built in). yes it has a stopwatch (under clock tab). I have yet to find the world time app, but am sure there is one either on it or 3rd party. you can use the video light as a torch , u just have to set light to come with video camera use.
I love it, have had it for a month and not a on BB data plan, as i roam alot. you can still do email via wifi internet, but not push with out BB plan.

also does the 8900 support viewing of word , excel, power point and PDF files?
does it have a stop watch, world time ?
can we get a torch lite thru a software from crackberry.com?
