You have said you work for CPW and have taken all the phones home from CPW with you and tried them?????? CPW do not sell vodafone which would mean they do not sell the storm, so i wouldnt really class ure opinion as being correct!!

hi all, i have now had the 8900 for over a month, as all of you are mentioning the battery life WAS poor lastind only a day, what i have found is that the more that you use the phone and the more that you charge it it seems to extend the battery life..... weird i know!!! my battery is now lasting 2 days + and that is with constant WIFI and bluetooth on!!
as for what is a better bb.......... well if you want to have a bb that is easy to use without reading the manual front to back 3 times then get the 8900.... if you want a bb that you need a degree in mobile phone tec then get the Bold....... and if you want a bb that you have to carry your own power gen with you then get the Storm......... dont forget the other problem with the storm....................ITS ON VODAFONE ONLY!!!!!
as i work for CPW i have taken all of these phones home and tried them all so i do know what i am talking about..... also the return rate on the storm is 1 in 4 due to bad spec and faults

Phone fully charged yesterday at 9am , haven't made or received any calls , haven't sent or looked at any emails or text messages.
Now it is 9am 24 hours later , the phone was in complete standby without any usage what so ever for 24 hours and everything is turned off (WiFi, GPS , Bluetooth , Location GPS ) and guess what .. it is down to 1 par only ... Totally Unacceptable.

I have the Curve 8900 for a week now , very good phone with a good size and good screen, i have got most of the previous Blackberry models (Pearl 8100 , Pearl 8110 , 8707 , 8310 and Bold 9000)as part of my job.
I have to say this is a very good model with only one problem BATTERY LIFE IS CRAB , it only last for just over a day with very minor usage , and it has been fully charged for at least 15 hours and been charged 3 times over the past week with the battery fully discharged before charging, and before you ask , yes everything is turned off like WiFi, GPS , Bluetooth , Location GPS , Screen brightness 70%.
So i am afraid for a bussiness user it is not good as you are going to have to charge it everyday keeping in mind that the USB charger is not backward compatible with other Blackberry models as it uses uncommon micro USB connector.
So sadly it is going back to Vodafone UK and i will be going back to the Pearl 8110 which last for about 4 days between charges and until newer Blackberry models arrives sometime this year which i hope it will be better in terms of futures , battery life and size.

The bold is a much better buy simply for the quality of the handset itself the curve is too cheap and plastically there is no sense of quality or realiability with it.

It is definitely faster on my last phones that I used with EDGE, also it is full HTML so it is reasonably fast for that much data.

As for comparing to the bold, I'm sorry I can't say. I've read though that this is almost as fast if not the same as the speed of browsing on the bold with 3G, I'm not sure how that's possible though.
