Then the phone carrier will enable Blackberry maps on your device or you better download Google Maps app that works very fine. There is no software that keeps the maps in Blackberry at this time (as TomTom), just piece by piece downloaded from Internet.

HELP NEEDED VERY URGENTLY!!!!!!!
I just got my blackberry 8900 today. GPS is a nightmare. I got a location fix after 10 seconds, (very good), but i cant find a shortcut for the gps to put it on the desktop, and i cannot find any maps on the phone or on the cd. Please anyone that had this issue advise me on this matter. It's my very first blackberry, so i am not very clued up on how to deal with this. I like the phone very much, but how the $%^&#@!!$& do you get the gps to work normally like my samsung omnia??????? I stay in South Africa. Do i have to buy maps, or are there maps on the cd i am BLIND?????

- are they both equally user friendly?
- Which is better overall - trackpad or trackball?
- can the case in 8520 be changed to look like the steelish 8900 type cover?

Ive had my BB 8900 now over 5 months and the thing that is really bugging me is people going on and on about the battery life on a blackberry her is a example on mine i have a 16gb memory card on mine 9gb used yes thats 9gb USED on films and music im on msn messenger 24/7 never of crackberry.com and gsmarena(everyday)and i have apps runnin on the back round bt i have a timer on that makes my phone shut down at 1.30 at night they on at 9 in the morning and to tell you the truth people im getting a day and a half so how the hell can a iphone kepp up with that tell me iphones are for spice boys and BB is business men
