what can I tell you if 3g isnt an issue than go with the 8900 loving it.... I got my 9700 on tuesday (my operator isnt selling it ether I use cable and wireless movil, so I had to buy it on ebay) if your askin I dont live in the states, I really like it, but it's not for me not a trackpad fan, even tho people have issues with the trackball (been a trackball user since the 8100 came out) I haven't, so keep the 8900 you won't regret it.

      Ihab7000
I think anyone that has the time to post something here is a addict to a certain point... jejejeje

for me the one that preforms the best is the 8900, battery life and apps loading.

As I sad 8900 if 3G isn't an issue, sometimes i wish that the 8900 would have had it but its something that I can live with (I don't use my bb for work stuff just personal, since everyone were I live have became a bb user)

About the specs... you can google it ;)

      Hope these answer your questions.

here is another comment that I read in the bold section from JR>>"If you're looking to buy this phone, let me help you save some time. This phone is garbage! I am a blackberry fan and will never switch to any other phone but the bold is crap. I've been through five bolds in less than a year. The phone crashes, the speaker gives feedback, the phone shuts off and won't come back on, deletes all my data. The most important part - the battery doesnt last. The most you'll get out of it if you use your phone a lot or average is 2.5hrs. It always has to be charged.

Think twice before you buy the bold"
why do u think all this happened with him?!

Strods, 16 Dec 2009Well, I've had both and started testing the 8900 compared t... moremy bold was stolen recently so i am on doubt about to request a new bold from the telecon operator or to request the 8900 curve. 3G is not an issue to me as at office and at home i have wifi. on the road I basically need for emails and to work on documents (i have a bt keyboard) and the bb email system is pretty quick running on gprs. The batery on bold used to be the main issue as it last 1 to 1,5 days which is not the case with the 8900. The keybord differences are big btw both models? on the other hand the size of the 8 900 is a plus. unfotunatly my operator is not giving the 9700 wich would solved my doubts. Summarising: should i go for the 8900 or should keep the bold? your toughts r wellcomed. rgds

Ihab 7000, 13 Dec 2009Dear strods...Dear all who really owned curve 8900 and once... moreWell, I've had both and started testing the 8900 compared to my bold... at the end I keep the 8900 it has better battery (im a crack addict) it last almost 2 days my bold was 1.5 days, also the 8900 is more pocket friendly, software issues not that many I've had it for the last few months and probably I've had one or two crashes, compared to the bold that I have to restart a few times a month.

but if your going to buy a new phone and you have the $$ I would go with the 9700 since it has the best of the 8900, 9000 and 8520, if you don't the grab the 8900.

                      P.S.

I haven't had any trackball issues on any of the phones.

if you need more info just let me know

My bb curve 8900 works perfectly. I love this phone. Battery lasts for 2.5days. Just don't use the oem pouch and your batt will last about 2-3 days. Amazing phone.
