Hi any clue when is this phone hitting the Indian markets ? I was about to buy the curve 9300 but this phone has much better features.If anyone knows anything please share the info. Thanks in advance :)

I've just read the spec and see that this phone doesn't have Java support. Is it true that it doesn't support JAVA?
Please someone confirm about this issue.

Any idea when colours other than black will be available for this model? Also I need to know if the camera is good coz I'm using a BB torch currently and I do not like the cam quality. Thx

I think that with the introduction of this new Curve 9360 that RIM has created a pricing dilemma for themselves considering that all the specs on this phone are better than on the Bold 9870, more internal storage, faster processor, more current operating system, yet the Bold 9870 costs in some cases way above USD 500. It'll be interesting to see how these end up doing this pricing acrobatics.

i got bb bold 9650 camera is 3.15mp but the results are really amazing as for mobile camera.i also saw the camera result of other phones like bb bold 9780&9700 they also got better result than 9650.now i hope bb introduce curve with 5mp camera and flash so the results will going to be far better than previous versions.but i like the 1 thing that bb curve are small and cute.

Like 9900 is competing against Bold 9000.. They should come out of their cocoon n look at the features offered by other phone vendors lik Samsung, HTC n Apple. Looks lik RIM is moving backwards as day passes.

This was officially announced at a press conference. It is better than the current bold 9780 because of the inside features and it will ship cheaper than bold 9780 did when it was released. It should be released in November or October looking at RIMs release of the previous curve 9300 in SA.

wow are they serious? coming out with same dsign as the 9700 and calling it new devices, and same with the 9900 as 9000. Im actually imbarassed to be a blackberry owner

This is a great phone which I think is targetted at the lower end of the market, RIM is carving a niche especially in emerging economies with BIS, I know in SA if you ask people in a bus to bring out their phones 70% will be blackberries, RIM is positioned well to replace Nokia and in fact most people are leaving Nokia to Berries, with right products RIM can make a surprise tops.
Android is nice but the new phones come out on a daily basis dumbing down the previous version, look at Samsung, Sony Xperia, watch out for RIM with everyone going for the BIS.

Hi friends please dont buy this phone as RIM have gone crazy launching same phones wait for sumthing new to be launched like new OS,what is difference between this & bold 9780 which i have buyed for 26700Rs. Only operating system is OS7 which will not make any difference, only re-booting will be fast
