I have bought the DTEK60 after my wife got the DTEK50 and must say the DTEK is smooth like butter like it's little brother. The Camera is very sharp and made a lot of great pictures and compare it with my brother iphone 7 and a friends Samsung S7 and both agree it looks natural and sharp, but lesser vibrant than on the Samsung S7, but you can change that if you like jumping out colors. The speakers are also much better than both device I mention before and the bass is nice if you like rock music, R&B or beat up music. Sound Quality is good and coverage much better then the iphone 7.
This device is so much cheaper and is a steal comparing to all these expensive brands like Apple and Samsung. I also love the flip-case with my device. Easily to use for a day and with a quickcharger you can restore some juice in lesser then a hour. Seems to me BlackBerry is alive and kicking. great device and price.

MH, 16 Nov 2016Thank you Max! Looks like a tie between DTEK60 and Zenfone3... moreDTEK60 is $30 cheaper than Zenfone 3 Deluxe, but Zenfone 3 Deluxe has bigger (64 GB) storage and higher (6 GB) RAM.

MH, 13 Nov 2016Need a full review please..! This is literally no review on... moreBattery Life: Almost a tie, the battery life of DTEK60 is just a wee bit better which is obviously because the bigger 6 GB RAM module on Zenfone 3 Deluxe consumes more battery.
Speaker: DTEK60, the stereo speakers sound marvellous. The speakers of Zenfone 3 Deluxe are quite small. However Zenfone 3 Deluxe has better sound output via the audio jack.
Camera: In terms of shooting speed its a tie but the camera clarity and OIS is better on Zenfone 3 Deluxe.
Camera Software: The freezing issue has been resolved and the camera of DTEK60 is easier to use. The Pixelmaster camera on Zenfone 3 Deluxe is literally overpacked with various settings, its good for pro users but absolutely confusing for normal users.

Need a full review please..! This is literally no review on its camera at the moment.
I'm in Canada, trying to decide between DTEK60 and Asus Zenfone3 Deluxe for Christmas gift....
Please please comment on battery life, speaker, camera shooting speed, camera video focus adjust (far-close-far) speed if possible, camera software (does it freeze like PRIV?).
Many thanks!

Loveforever, 07 Nov 2016BB always makes excellent device, but some article are sayi... moreWell technically this would be the last phone in which BlackBerry has involved itself, the upcoming devices would be just made by random OEMs and BlackBerry would just provide them their cryptographic variant of Android. BlackBerry is just trying to maximise its profits by selling OS instead of making their own devices. Of course those devices would still carry BlackBerry logo to certify that they are running on BlackBerry's cryptographic Android. However the updates and security patches on these upcoming devices would be maintained directly by BlackBerry.

Their OS would be no doubt the most secure among Android devices but seriously if shoddy OEMs start making all these devices then the quality would surely suffer.

Got week ago straight from BlackBerry, what I can say , disappointed in one word.
Glitches , battery dying fast, video playing is frustrating. Touchscreen is irritating, always pushes somethings that I don't need ...
Sometimes it's fast , sometimes super slow , wtf ! Will sell it and buy something else unfortunately :(

But what we can say is that they have been moving their own apps over to Android which would show some commitment to the platform. Their future revenues are reliant on making sure they work well on this platform.
I'm using a Z10 right now and am tossing between this and dtek50. Z10 for me is probably the best phone ever made by a company. All the right things out of the box.
The last Android phone I had was an Xperia T from 2013. I had Galaxy S3 before that. I never remember updating either of those handsets and I kept them for years. I handed them to family who carried on using them to this day. They weren't secure at all.
