AnonD-88187, 08 May 2015Blackberry Leap is built using the 3 year old Processor &qu... moreIt has outdated processor which is not good for the price. But BlackBerry told that leap will be getting updates too. Leap and classic have same processor so the updates will be getting for sure.
As a z10 user I thought that Snapchat s4 won't be good at all but the phone was fluid. You won't believe unless you use for Phone. It works nice with her latest BlackBerry OS. The only problem is when playing games like Asphalt8 or mortal kombat it doesn't seem well.

AnonD-88187, 08 May 2015Thank you very much for making it more clear. But this woul... moreAny time. You should understand certain things about a BlackBerry 10 phone. There are lot of fun applications might be missing from BlackBerry 10 OS ( I mean native application to the OS). Android apps ( those don't require google integration ) work in a fashion , but you can expect some slutter and performance issues if you use resource hungry android apps - aka games.
But the platform is an excellent communication tool. The subtle features built in the OS is oriented towards productivity. I have been using BlackBerry 10 phones for two years, and one thing they don't do is lag or hang. If I may use an analogy, a BlackBerry is like a 125CC bike or a 1000 cc car . They get the work done, take you reliably from point A to point B and gives good fuel economy. But don't expect them to win a race or to perform stunts :D.
Still, Leap is a new entrant, so not sure about the performance. You might want to wait for a couple of months and see the reviews ( not junk reviews, but written by people who purchased it - certified buyers)
I have a BlackBerry Z30, and it is an excellent business phone. My opinions are based on a Z30's useage.

AnonD-153995, 08 May 2015At the first glance, the facts you stated may sound dreadfu... moreThank you very much for making it more clear. But this would be the first time I would be having a Blackberry device. Till now I was only using Android devices. I am looking at Blackberry as a Business phone and not as an Multimedia phone. So what do you suggest? My main concern is will Blackberry become lag in few months. Asking this because no matter how costly you buy any Android device, it lags after some period of time.

[deleted post]At the first glance, the facts you stated may sound dreadful. But the million dollar question would be what one wants from a phone. Nowadays a smartphone with highest 'specs' is a fashion accessory. But there are people who see the utility of the smartphone alone. BlackBerry 10 is capable of delivering the "smartphone" aspect pretty well - that is it does not need the monumental specs of other platform. No hanging, no lagging and smooth transitions. So, instead of focussing just at the 'specs' aspect, it would be good to visit a shop, see if Leap fits into the definition of your needs and take a decision. That is what I would do. But if you are looking at at the novelty aspect alone, then I think BlackBerry Leap may not be for you.
Ain't it easy to decide?

Blackberry Leap is built using the 3 year old Processor "Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960" which was released in Jan 2012.
Is it now worth spending $275 (INR ~17K) on the Blackberry Leap which is using an outdated Processor?
I mean how long will it be able to survive in the Market and how would be the Performance?
For how much long will the Leap users get the update?
I am still confused with the above questions. Hope anybody might be able to help me.
Thanks in advance.

The BlackBerry Leap should cost Rs 22000 to 24000 if you see the global prices.Specification wise looks attractive.

i was using Android, but moved to a BB Q10 6 months ago. I will stick with Blackberry... and the leap might be nice, i will check it out. Android is just becoming a piece of spyware... and blackberry focus is messaging... information consumption for me is laptop / desktop, browsing the web on a phone isn' t all that...
