It's been loaded up and running it for weeks now and it's bulletproof so go ahead and download it again through BlackBerry world and you should be fine all the best

Good phones but only battery drains too quick.

Bob, 17 Jul 2016This BlackBerry Passport is running BlackBerry 10 OS which ... moreDear bob, my suggestion is better to go with android, as I'm seeing a change towards more difficulties for bb10 if BlackBerry left it like this (if they do something to make it is 100% compatible with android, things may improve like licencing google play services etc)
At present who installed google play services with stable & proven "cobalt method", are able to enjoy both worlds of bb10 and android.
But recently more problems are coming in the form of uber, ola, taxi for sure are unable to integrate to map even after patching. But uber works without patching. Whatsup apk does not work without patch and if we patch, whatsup server does not allow it to work.
Why just an end user we should have this much advanced knowledge to make bb10 phone to work for our need esp urgent conditions, these patched apps may crash e.g you are in middle of journey patched google
Map crashes etc. You should be software maintenance expert to run esp that apps that require google play services.
If want similar form factor, you can opt for LG Vu3 but without physical key board. Unfortunate LG brought it much ahead of society mind set acceptable time. If they reboot Vu series I anticipate to successful. For any further details may please read my earlier posts.

if you're not a gamer fan, yeah i recomend it. battery life, utillity, head turner, great camera and overall a really good phone

Will Blackberry (RIM) do something to continue using Whats app? I bought mine last year, still working perfect.. I was shocked to hear this.

Blackberry passport is unique, its the best of the best smart phone that ever built, what a shame to stop its OS because I have tried android , windows , and iphones they are not comparable at all to blackberry specially the passport.

This BlackBerry Passport is running BlackBerry 10 OS which Android apps can be installed directly, my question is, does the application running well? Since I've heard that by the end of this year WhatsApp will no longer support BlackBerry 10 OS users, therefore I might consider that maybe we can just install WhatsApp .apk instead of using WhatsApp for BlackBerry 10 OS.
I have a plan of purchasing this handheld to replace my Z10. However with the issues of many applications started not to support BlackBerry 10 OS concerns me a lot.
BlackBerry Priv is another choice, but since it is running Android OS, I'm worried that I might no longer able to use some handy apps which I'm using now on my Z10 (Password Keeper, Notes).
I need suggestions. Please, enlightened me.

Can, 07 Jul 2016Is it still worth buying?It does not support a lot of social apps(Viber, whatsapp, snapchat, etc). If you are not keen on those, it is definitely worth. I own one and it's the love of my life.
