knreddy, 01 Jan 2016Additional observations to my user opinion dated 20.12.2015... moreYour so wrong on the apps front. Download BB Beta Labs or look up nemory studio you can download apps like Ola, Uber, Facebook, Scope 10. Did you know half of the apps that work on an android works on the passport. Except apps that don't support 1:1 ratio of screen resolutions. Thanks to Oliver many apps that weren't available earlier on BB are now available. So stop whinning and use some common sense and start searching for apps.
Secondly, BB weren't know for being those fancy android phone which has so many useless apps that you generally dont use most of the time, why even crib thanks to BB the new OS 10 support the cross loading of Android Apps on their new 10 devices.

1. The native sampling frequency is 48000 Hz but after repeated listening I can safely opine that the resampling of 44100 Hz music is so perfect (like SSRC)that I am unable to listen any difference.
2)Fiio E07K USB DAC connection is plug & play, stock music player capable to handle lossless flac
3)It's contacts app does not capable to accept any custom labels other than work, home, mobile, other (phone numbers), simply it ignores i.e. other than above contact nos will be missed (whereas android, ios are capable)
4)a)there is no facility to set default phone no from available multiple phone nos of a contact
b) further it's order of preference work , home, mobile no, this is a disadvantage if work no is landline & cannot receive messages
Especially if names are picked up from contacts for group for group messaging, messages may not delivered due above problem
(no capable 3rd party app also available, so you have to prepare /edit to suite BlackBerry from available contacts)
5) As BlackBerry 10.3 OS is not as popular as android or IOS, many native ticketing, travelling apps like ola, uber etc are not available & they are workable in cobalt method which needs some reading & googling
6) since blackberry is only OS (software ) probably not crackable or jail breakable in the world hence we can not bring new features

Possibly, Old-School fashion is to be redesigned and get back proudly to the class again Of course we're calling to the legendary of E71 of the history record that leads SE looks stylishest so we have no issue How it same or but different even the red one there or another black one here or the differ of device chassis materials.Okay if we rekeyboard to the next level PriV Blackberry Flagship hopefully which is work well on Droid platform and Indeed it wont remind me to return to moto milestone again. Finally I'd pay attention for A new passport if you give me one I test you for free , said the game client.

Anyway, I'm not sure there is any YouTube approved app for downloading videos, since YouTube don't like it, even TubeMate cannot be found in official Android PlayStore.

Owning Siver Edition ,Awesome phone.Really a head turner.None of my previous Android had this kind of attention from people. But there are some disadvantages too in terms of App...
1, Facebook - olderversion , you cant open the notifications received It says content cant be opened.
2, Youtube - older version , no option for saving offline videos.
3, Truecaller- will not work.
4, Getting hot sometimes. But not regularly.
But the device is superb in performance .

alyan, 21 Dec 2015i have questions .. if some one can answer about differe... moreQuite same just BlackBerry SE is More grip and cool metal body, the edge of everythings you can see it before you turn it oN....oh and the battery is monster you knows after u used, android apps and Games 85% works( Soure crackberry).

Gazal, 20 Dec 2015I have recently bought blackberry passport without reading ... moreHai you can install .apk files in bb pp which is using in android... Just u need to copy .apk file from android to bb pp. After that u can use the same app in bb pp.

Guys, after reading mostly Positive comments about this phone and specially since it has a Qwerty Key Board, thinking of going for this model. I am from India, wanted to plz know if easily available in stores and what may be the costing.. Will be thankful for reply plz.. Also, hope WiFi works great on this phone.. Merry Christmas to ALL..

if some one can answer about differe... moreIf you care to read just couple of pages of comments, you would find the answer.
In short, internally both Silver Edition and 'original Passport' are the same (CPU, RAM, etc), main difference is mostly metallic body of SE (back cover and lid under the front part of the keyboard is silver coloured plastic), different shape of the body (this makes regular Passport cases, and charging stands incompatible with SE), and keyboard on SE is not so stiff (hard to press) like the keyboard on original version.

I have recently bought blackberry passport without reading any views. it has unique design and some features ,yet it has a lot of disadvantages eg; lack of apps.I am a businessman and like to use technology ! Do you believe you can't download or use uber rider which I used to have on my cell phones.As well as the browser is very bad compared with google chrome. I don't recommend it unless they change their policy and become more open to the world .
