But those are airport prices, it should be cheaper elsewhere.

Please, does anyone know if this phone is now available in Nigeria? A friend in the UK says they're doing a sales promo selling one for about GBP220 (about N53,000), but I'd like to compare with local prices before deciding if to ask him to get it for me.
Urgent response required please.

you really have to charge the phone for 12 hours when you first get any phone , then you will get full standby time , mine lasts ages , its my first blackberry and i love it , was a nokia fan before this but this phone converted me , was going to buy a second blackberry sim free , 9780 bold but changed my mind eg the pixels on the screen are only 480 by 360 and only 65k colors , the pearl is smaller screen but better to look at its got 360 by 400 and 256k colors ,so to me the bold i think blackberry are cheating people on it as the screen should have more pixels and more colors than 65k , to me its really the same as the 9700 , if im wrong feel free to advise me on this one as i am going to buy a second blackberry but as yet it may be a second 9105 pearl . and also some people say build quality of blackberry phones has sliped in standard well i think they have followed nokia and started to build them in hungary , nokia did this and nokia phones started to feel cheap , i hope blackberry dont let this happen to there phones ,

I haven't followed all the threads of user opinions, but I have seen here that some people have battery life issues... My Pearl's been in constant use for 3 days now, and I still have 3 bars left. Just thought I'd put that out there, as a non Blackberry fan that I am...

i buy this product,my curiousity i try to turn off all conection,and i play music,the batery its only can stands for 3 hours,then i try again to turn on only 2G connection,and only black berry messages i use(rarely,cause ido not have any friends yet)the batery last only 2 days!this specification is cheating publik!

chiki, 26 Nov 2010Guys i might sound lame but my pearl's keypad is not illumi... morehad the same problem. usually happens when the battery is allowed to run completely flat. Answer is to remove battery with phone on. Replace battery and wait for the phone to run through its diagnostics. The keyboard will then work. Also have a problem with image files being locked as 'file in use' and undeletable, once they've been emailed or texted. Same solution!

How much does this phone cost in South Africa and that low battery life is because your 3g is on because with my Sony Ericsson when the 3g is on it dies quickly.

it is up to you, do you like qwerty keyboard in your hand? then go for other model..if 15k, then this is the best as it has 3g network..

i love my pearl.... just wish thst it came with a programme that allowed you to view and edit pdf files. wish that the battery lasted a little longer. this is my first blackberry cellphone and i think that it is awesome!
