does the camera work even when phone is shut? as in can take self-shots from the front without flipping open the phone?

I just got this fone 2 days ago in Red and its so beautiful!!! I LOVE everything about it.. Its my first blackberry, and at first it seemed a bit complicated from my nokia and samsung, but a day into it and everything is easy to use!! the trackball, the design and features are the best!!
I am MORE than satisfied with this fone!

I LOVE this phone. It's my first Blackberry and I love the flip design. That's why I bought it. It works great. I wish the screen was bigger but I'll sacrifice this for the design. No problems with it after over 3 months of use. Not all software is compatible but lots is. Great for my needs. It's a keeper.

philm, 06 Nov 2008do b/b have graphic equaliser in them for mp3,,can video be... moreEvery BlackBerry (phone OS) has a Presets equalizer. Like "pop" "jazz", "bass boost" etc...
Also, don't fret if some phones don't have GPS. An alternative that some of you would like to try is Google Maps. If there's no GPS, this software uses cellular tower pin-pointing.
Not as accurate as GPS, but hey, it still works though :)

Got this phone 2 weeks ago...
Nice design, love the front panel.
Pretty slow compare to BOLD, because of the small built-in memory.
Crashes a few times, experiences some errors that sometimes requires restart to the operating system.
Freezes a few times, especially when you got a call, short message, and instant message at the same time.
I still love the phone.

chino.sr, 03 Mar 2009HI,i own this phone about a month,hangs and freezes alot !!... morebb sends out updates from time to time have u downloaded any of them? my STORM doesnt freeze, really my only complaint is the occasional sluggishness. other than that im addicted to it. the best phone on the market imo.

Hi, is it true there's a new Pearl Flip already, model 8330? This model seems to be cheaper. I heard something about that on Tv. can anyone plz confirm that?

I have my blackberry flip for about 2 wks and it's just the best phone ever! I love it! It's light, not bulky at all! The service is good especially the blackberry to blackberry service it' good! Im very pleased!

HI,i own this phone about a month,hangs and freezes alot !! so i have to take out tha battery everytime ! with my old curve 8320 it does the same,anyone no why??

I have owned the Blackberry Pearl Flip for 3 weeks....4 times in those 3 weeks it has crashed when I play Word Mole, I have to take the battery out and it then takes ages to come back on. Anyone else have this problem? Other than that, I love it, but I echo the FM radio sentiment a few posts down - if this phone had a radio it would be complete!

i got this phone, after giving the iphone up for poor battery life! i love this device, ive downloaded a app which allows me to sync i tunes on it! emails and facebook! and the battery life is ace! i love this phone so much,,, i would defo recommend!

Thank you for your comments - I went ahead and ordered the phone and it's actually coming today so I hope I can get used to it! I will let you know how I get on.

I ve been using this phone for 2 weeks now.so far there is almost no problem n lovin the phone more and more! the only glitch is when i close the flip,the fone turned off.but it only happen once.Other than that, everything works perfectly fine! totally recommending this phone

Sally, the Blackberry phones are unique and can be difficult to get used to. Samsung and Nokia phones are easy to text with but the Blackberry is just different. I tried to change from Sony Ericsson to Blackberry last year then gave up after a few weeks. I couldn't see the point in having to learn a new way of texting. My friends say its worth it in the end and are really happy with the change. Its up to you really.
