AnonD-311269, 29 Sep 2015Hi It is disspointing that Blackberry is distrusting her O... moreNot that it needs saying, but Blackberry's issue is not specifically their OS, but the apps NOT available nor being created to work well with it. I too love my Blackberry for the connectivity of it's OS (i.e. the Hub experience) but their hardware still struggles to compete (the competition is getting exceedingly more difficult to match) and their application selection is crippling. Even the Android apps that can be installed do not run well because they do not run natively on the OS. This is a good move for Blackberry, though I believe an even better move would be to create BB "editions" option through the other phones/OS's on the market to eliminate the hardware debate and sell what everyone loves most about their BB, the unparalleled robustness of the e-mail and connectivity experience. They could still offer hardcore BB phones which are focussed solely on the old core market (hard keyboards with big batteries, best security, and excellent durability for power users), and avoid always being compared to the latest super phones from Apple, Samsung, Google, LG, HTC, etc., etc. This PRIV looks like a happy concession that blends the two approaches and tests the new OS and hardware waters before they make any drastic moves corporately.

Looks promising. I have no problem with the switch to Android, but will we still have Blackberry Blend and Documents to Go? They're the main reason I'm a Blackberry user.

This is a good device and blackberry should make 2 of these, one high end and one low to medium end in order to broaden their target market

Hi
It is disspointing that Blackberry is distrusting her OS. Instead of working in it untill it becomes perfect they use other manfucature's OS. Blackberry is building great interesting handsets. I do not know, the Canadian distrust her OS and it is stupid. In the next coming future Blackberry shall build new handsets and she'll be supplied with Operating System. I am dissapointed on you Blackberr

I think the key selling points for blacberry is their excellent physical keyboard and security in their BB10. BB10 failed due to the sluggish software compared with IOS and Android. If Blackberry merge these products features with Android this could make Blackberry to turnaround. Finally l believe Blacberry should come out a few keyboard orientation like HTC and will take over the smartphone market again or at least make it to the top 5 arena. Good idea John Chen. Chinese always make a good businessman at least.

I have a Samsung Note 4 and it is time for me to leave Samsung. I'm a former Blackberry user and this device looks like it is going to be a good phone. I was a fan of BBos, but understand that sticking to that plan was going to be the death of Blackberry and applaud the CEO for this move. I switch to Android from Blackberry and although I miss BBos, I have to admit that having an app for just about everything is handy. I'm waiting for my carrier to get this phone so that I can order it!
