This has been my daily driver for the entire year, I love the software. I love how blackberry has made the priv more and more like bb10 with continuous upgrades to the hub and dtek for security.
I love the keyboard, in fact , I almost never use the vkb unless I'm in a real rush.
The battery is OK. Gets me through the day, il unplug at 6 , do my daily tasks like email , bbm , whatsapp , browsing , YouTube, and then il get home around 6 with about 20-25 percent left.
Play with it until 8 or so and itl be down to 5. That's all I need.
It's made for my needs so all the people slating this device clearly haven't given it a chance to evolve. I can assure you, the priv that launched with lollipop and the one that has marshmallow now is a completely different beast.
It's cool with gaming although on a serious note I'm not one for gaming on my device,
This is such an awesome productivity tool. I don't know why people don't give the priv a chance.
This will be my phone for the next year as well until hopefully a priv 2.0 launches. Then il upgrade hopefully.
I have no problems at all. No heating , no poor battery , no lag etc. It's my 2nd best phone I have owned after my passport. Give it a try , or not. Either way you missing out on being different , on being privileged.

I had some heating issues, but I solved them quickly, so the phone is working great. Way better then the LG G3 junk I had before. On the moderate, to heavy use, the CPU temp has to be around 32-35C, on low to moderate use anywhere from 28-32, on sleeping mode lower then 24C. Keep the phone flat on the face site and it will go to sleep mode. Battery is rarely drained at that position.

BBM already received several updates in 2015 and BlackBerry will continue upgrading the platform to improve the experience. More "key security updates" are set to roll out later this year, and the company also promised to make BBM more fun. The company also confirmed that its latest BlackBerry Priv handset, which runs on Android, will continue to support WhatsApp. -

Been using it for a week. Battery can last a full day under normal use, and more than half a day under heavy use. The physical keypad is not as great as that on the Blackberry Classic because the keys are not as tall. Nevertheless, it's still much better to type on when compared to touchscreen keypad. Blackberry didn't seem to have modified the OS much. It's almost like using stock Android with some Blackberry add-ons. Love the Hub which groups all my email. DTEK is another great app to keep your phone secure. You can fine tune permissions for each individual app. Overall, a great phone for $650 Canadian dollars. I'm loving mine.

A very good phone - especially since recent software updates. Having the combination of Blackberry Hub email and messaging system, with full Android capability, is unbeatable. The hardware is good too, especially with the slider keyboard which means the phone can be used as a proper productivity tool. There is also a mechanism of creating a work and personal platform, so it is like having two phones. It is effortless to switch between the two capabilities.
The Priv has a lovely curved screen, which it is possible to swipe to see productivity apps, like the Hub, notes, email and calendar. It also has some very good speakers for Google Play listening et al. The Camera is excellent, as is video recording.
Battery life is good, with the software updates, improving capacity still further. To make it even better, switch off google sync, as you have all your emails anyway, in the non-battery draining, and more useful Blackberry Hub. There are special - unique - security and encryption features, preventing hacking, unwanted app surveillance and viruses, built into both the hardware and software, that are pretty rare in modern smartphones.
The Blackberry Priv is a serious Smartphone for Business Users. The company has taken the good parts from Blackberry 10, and moulded them to Android, without the phone feeling that it has unnecessary Bloatware.
I am surprised that this phone has not had more success. I guess this comes down to the name 'Priv' (unremarkable), and lack of proper marketing/advertising by Blackberry. Very few people know that Blackberry has moved on from the Blackberry Bold or even Curve and that the company now produces state of the art smart phones like the Passport, or Priv.
Marketing this phone should be based on the unique hardware, with the keyboard, and the productivity and security features. That is the phoine's USP and makes it different from other high-end smarthones like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, HTC 10, or even the Blackphone.

AnonD-577378, 28 Aug 2016Hey guys.
I'm thinking of getting me this phone. Can you... moreI preorderd this phone and have had since launch...
I really like the phone. The battery life is more than a day, and I use the phone for at least 15 hours a day with medium use, and always have power to spare. The camera is good, but not the best. imgur.com/UEYd93t is really good example of the quality. (i shot this)
The screen is pretty good and the keyboard is useful (if you remember its there) You can scroll using it by rubbing your finger over the keys.
