They should have done this a couple of years back and would have ruled the android smartphone market. Releasing with android lollipop, BlackBerry needs to ensure they provide timely updates. Android Software Update guarantee would have more people flocking back to BlackBerry.

Good idea to have Google play considering a weak app ecosystem for the native BlackBerry software.

I wish the company rolls out the new Android software to the recent models like passport, classic, Z series. What say?

Now that the phone has been officially released with shipments starting Nov 6th, the specs need to be updated. For instance under Wi-Fi it has 802.11 ac and it has more sensors than listed here.

Just because screen keyboards came after physical keyboards it doesn't mean the former is superior or more efficient! Can you even type on screen keyboards without looking? And no, spellcheckers are not an advantage of screen keyboards either since physical keyboards can have that too, plus many more (gestures, shortcuts, as a trackpad, etc).
In fact spellcheckers are a pain for people who use more that one language! So it's better to prevent errors in the first place than depend on the phone to "correct" words- and phys keyboards are perfect for that!

The BlackBerry Priv is a sales tool for Blackberry to showcase their Android security software at its best. It can then sell this software to other manufactures that currently sell 50 times more phones than Blackberry does. Great move in selling security to the 1 billion plus android users. Bravo John Chen and Blackberry.
