Berry, 26 Oct 2015Why do we need additional keypad it's really senseless What's senseless to me is the constant looking at where you're typing (tapping)- and hitting the wrong "button" 50% of the time, not feeling any tactile feedback, and losing 1/3 of my screen to a virtual keyboard.

SouthAfrican, 25 Oct 2015Nice phone but the problem is the querty hardware keyboard. What's the problem with the hardware keyboard? It has both, but for a hard core user, the physical keyboard is what we have been waiting for.

I think it's extremely stupid, you can't use the keyboard with this massive size and tall of the phone, it's against physics laws.
you'll end up breaking your fingers or the phone by dropping it over and over

Best thing to happen to cellphones since the first BB. Cant wait to get one. Having used cell phones for over 20 years, back when they were called PACK SETS, pre bag phone era, the qwerty board has been sorely missed by lots of folks. Now you have the option of either or.
Those whomhave never used a qwerty keyvoard are on for a pleasant surprise if approacched with an open mind

They should have done this a couple of years back and would have ruled the android smartphone market. Releasing with android lollipop, BlackBerry needs to ensure they provide timely updates. Android Software Update guarantee would have more people flocking back to BlackBerry.

Good idea to have Google play considering a weak app ecosystem for the native BlackBerry software.

I wish the company rolls out the new Android software to the recent models like passport, classic, Z series. What say?

Just because screen keyboards came after physical keyboards it doesn't mean the former is superior or more efficient! Can you even type on screen keyboards without looking? And no, spellcheckers are not an advantage of screen keyboards either since physical keyboards can have that too, plus many more (gestures, shortcuts, as a trackpad, etc).
In fact spellcheckers are a pain for people who use more that one language! So it's better to prevent errors in the first place than depend on the phone to "correct" words- and phys keyboards are perfect for that!
