Keyboard is amazing but needs a bigger form factor. Web browser is not really usable, constantly zooming and scrolling. Are there any plans for a BB10 phablet?

BB Q10, 07 Jun 2013BLACKBERRY Q10 is a good phone no question about that, but ... moreYou can turn the text help/suggest feature on. It does not work by default, you have to enable it! It works very well & learns how you type.

Good solid phone, does not twist or creak. Keyboard almost as good as the first blackberry which lasted 9 years before the wheely thing broke. Dropped the old one 4 times a week for 9 years, never mattered! Not so sure about this one yet.
Battery lasts 3-4 days. Screen good for messages. Love the hub so efficient. Paid $340 for phone without a binding contract. Pay $60 a month for unlimited everything across Canada & 2G data.
            Grabs WiFi really well.
Primary use is business. Apps are just thinly veiled things to pry in your data and direct target ads to you, NO THANKS. Even the weather Ap or bar code reader wants to know where I am & read my info!!!!!
Skype works! One app I tolerate.

Don't like: Alarm & sleep mode need better integration. Turning alarm off is hit & miss especially when removing from the case, totally weird.
The purple 'time' screen can be very elusive. The thin rubber between the screen & case edge has some rough spots where it was not fitted very well.

It does a lot of small things well which make you appreciate the phone. Non slip back, change battery easily, screen illuminates when removed from ear, good audio & speaker, (my son's I phone 5 audio always sounds terrible).

For those many people who find price an issue on here they need to look at total cost of ownership of a cell phone or wait for the Q5 to save a little. Worry about the provider cost, not the phone! Do these people loose their phones every few months and have to buy a replacement?

Hoping to get another 9 years from my second Blackberry.

A trackpad and return button is a miss. if it has to be launched like this then a full touch screen can have done the purpose. Like in bold 4 a user had a option to use either keyboard or touchscreen.

Anonymous, 07 Jun 201344,000 Rupees????? Is Blackberry suicidal? Good luck ex... moreSmall correction, it's not 44,000 but 44,990. So it's 45,000.
Even a loyal BB user will think twice before purchasing BB at this price. Forget new customers.
Expecting the price around 30K, but's too high considering it's features.
Better to stick with old BB or wait for price drop. At this price, it will be flop for sure.

BLACKBERRY Q10 is a good phone no question about that, but for me something is lacking in the Texting department, It needs a Texting AID in the likes of Message Popups and or Presets this things greatly offers ease in typing or sending Text messages especially when you're in a hurry or doing other thing. I think BLACKBERRY will listen to this and include this that are mentioned in the next Software Update 10.2. Thank You.....

Jessica , 04 Jun 2013Totally disagree about this phone is for smart people. I be... moreAn app developer thinks that apps are the most important thing about phones. Hardly surprising.
An awful lot of people do not want to have to customise phones by finding suitable apps, finding out whether they wreck the battery life, and finding out whether they carry malware. In the early days of PCs there were lots of small applications, but eventually that all died away and left, for most people, Microsoft Office and email, and maybe a couple of others. Probably 10 large applications cover 90% of PC users.
The new Blackberries are designed for business use - an awful lot of people - and come with 90% of what business people need straight out of the box. The only add-ons I have put on mine are an additional weather forecast and a couple of optional extras from Blackberry themselves. I don't spend time fiddling with phones; I just want it to handle all my messages, let me check a few things via the browser, and take clear photos and videos. This it does, and it runs for 2 days on a charge.
If you want a consumer device, there are many options out there. If you want a serious business device, not so many. The 64G iPhone costs a lot more than a Q10 with a 64G SD card, and it costs $100 to change the battery instead of $27, plus you have to take it in to an Apple shop. The Lumia 920 series is big and bulky, and lacks memory. Even if only 5% of the market actually wants a business communicator with a keyboard, that's still a big enough slice to keep Blackberry in business.
After all, who wants an expensive car with hardly any boot and small back seats? But Porsche make a healthy profit.
