Mpho Mapulane, 10 Nov 2010Hello Everyone...i need Help with my Storm Battery Life,,, ... morehave had phone replaced once due to battery life most recently had battery replaced still short life can take it off charge at 10am and by 7pm its flashing low battery and iam an infrequent user of the phone. have just downloaded a battery saver app will see how that goes.

I have been using a storm 2 for over a year and i must say its the best phone i have evry had i work in tech support for mobile phones and have never had anyone call about an issue with them. brilliant phone

I upgraded from my Curve 8520 to Storm 2 because I want a touchscreen and of course it has to be BlackBerry. Storm2's not the usual touchscreen you'll find in the market so it will take some time to get used to the screen that you actually have to press down till it clicks. It's a welcome distinction from the touchscreen bandwagon. What I hate is the predictive text input that no matter how you turn it off it keeps on appearing. To be honest, you won't like this handset at first but you'd love it as you get used to it just like I did.

I've got this phone, and let me tell you, it is the worst thing I have ever owned in my life! It gave me endless problems, and have replaced it 5 times already, but my service provider only send me a new storm 2 every time, and all still the exact same problems! Screen freezes, drops calls, white screens, reboots for no apparent reason... Don't buy this device, you will regret it!

Please do not bu... moreDissapointed. sorry to hear about your carelessness. its 2010 not 19 something. any smartphone you happen to drop, that phone will not be smart anymore. yes the handset has its short comings however, you cant blame it for dropping. go get another and do not bad mouth my boo. check out the iphone4 and drop it, see if you would bad mouth it too.

This is the Worst phone I have ever owned! Please do not buy it. It was a big mistake. Major handset problems, I had it for a short time and on my way to ELF it I dropped it the one time from a very small hight and it shattered, now I have a crap, broken phone on a 2 year contraact weith no warrenty or insurance. Back to my old Nokia I think!

I think you might have to reinstall the OS. Sometimes things don't come out right the first time. If the problem persists, go back to .713.

hey guys, i upgraded my bb storm2 9550 a few hours ago from v5.0.0.713 to v5.0.0.983 and i've noticed one prob so far ie. while using the video camera it blocked out i mean all black. i freaked out, believing it was over now. can somebody tell me what else to expect from this version?

check if u close all the apps u opened. "using the return key does not close the active app it minimizes it. so its still running in the bk ground". press and hold the bb key,a bar appear with icons that are currrently running,(the default ones are: browser,bb messenger,home screeen,messages,and phone,also if u av antivirus) any other? press the icon app will open, press bb key and scroll down to close.
2. turn off bluetooth and wifi when nt using
3. if u av led light on turn it off
4. if u don't need vibration turn if off
5. reduce the bk light time
just a few tips to extend battery life.

I like this phone, i must buy one before it will be discontinued Because of the storm3, wish the storm2 refresh is not cancelled so i can switch to it, i dont like the storm3 rumors with iphone looks, rim you should make the storm3 look like a BBstorm, and not make it look like an iphone, dont be an iphone imitator! Be blackberry! Stick with the original and dont try to look stupid by imitating iphone just like other cellphone companies!

how to key in short code for ... morezam.
go options, mobile network, change data service to "off" and do a battery Pull. ie (remove the battery while the phone is still on then replace it), it will reboot. however,ur wi-fi will connect but, unable to browse whenever data service is turned off. test that ur *100# is working.when it is.
go options, mobile network, and change back data to "on" now both the wi-fi and ur *100# should work. well . it worked for me.
