What does eveyone think about the new BB Storm 2 that due to be released later in month.

Does anyone recommend it at all? I'm not interested in the Storm 1 as it has no wifi but I hear storm 2 does, so am tempted by it.

I had a BB Bold and was a little disappointed with it, only cause it crashed all the time.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Craig

No wifi is okay because we know it does not have wifi. And BlackBerry units must activate BlackBerry internet service. So 24hours you login with GPRS/EDGE/3G.

I only want to know that there is any updated version or near future to improve browser, battery and touch. I mean no flash support, battery is not good and with touch not easy to type emails and messages etc. I have currently version 4.7.0.173

When the storm was released, there were a number of software issues, but thanks to a recent upgrade on the software, the phone is excellent, surpassing any other touch-screen phone on the market, even apples iphone 3GS.

The memory capacity, the camera, the push email service, the instant message facility, no phone on the market can beat it. Blackberry forever

I have to say the only draw back is no wifi, once you set the phone up the way you want it and upgrade the operating system (I am using.168) the phone rocks. Where else can you get all the info you want on the home page? Emails, upcoming dates and appointments, birthdays.etc. Just get a today screen for it, there are plenty of free ones. I personally use Flamboyant, i like the bold colors. You can even set the type of font and size you prefer. It does office work natively, as well as games and music, the camera is ok.. the bluetooth needs airshare to get the most out of it, again, free. The touch screen is perfectly legible under direct sunlight which most touch screens aren't. And the "clickable" screen works fine, it is just different, and as far as I am concerned better than just touch, much less mistakes. The reception is as good as any Nokia I have had and the voice quality is fine. I would definitely recommend this phone, and look forward to a wifi version.

We have the same problem in Malaysia also and it is because of the network and not the phone. I suggest your change your service provider.

I would agree that the Storm 9500 is the worse cell phone I have ever had. It constantly cuts off when you are on a call, it freezes up, the keyboard is very frustrating, and the processing time takes way to long. I hear there is less problems with Blackberry Curve.

I got this phone from Vodafone 2 weeks ago.
Ups- Its very fast. Nice design. GPS work prety good(almost all europe covered). Good camera altough its just 3.2mp. Very good network reception.
Downs- Blackberry os very hard to find applications on the web. You will need a week to get familar with the touch screen. Cannot place a call from an sms menu. I'll rate this phone 8/10.

Worse phone I've ever bought. Slow. Hangs, continuously. Typing on the touch screen is AWFUL. Did I mention slow?

The Bold and Curve are light years ahead.

had all the blackberries and this is my fav with the curve 8900 a close second. bold looses signal and crashed too much. make sure you do all the setting and software tweeks once you get it though as "out of the box" aint what it should be. build quality is brilliant. as good as the b&o mobiles and better than any bb, nokia, sony, lg etc. extended battery plus cover by SEIDIO is best.

I have been disappointed with my phone and have written on the subject, complaining about the lag, camera, etc, etc. Yesterday, however I installed the latest firmware .173 which does genuinely improve the functionality....although it remains limited by the specs of the handset.
