the last thing that vodafone wishes to do is "rip people off". Vodafone Aus gives every customer ample opportunities through numerous different avenues to be able to check their current usage. This is more than i can say for certain other providers. The reason people recieve what vodafone term as "bill shock" is by an d large because people do not want to be responsible for their own actions and prefer to blame their provider. If there is an incorrect usage charge VF will credit it. VF adjusts their plans constantly and invest alot of money into reducing "bill shock" as it is incredibly DETRIMENTAL to the companys market share and retention. However excess usage charges MUST occur in order to ensure the security of its net profit. The only major error VF has made is to overestimate the intelligence of a small part of the population. A company that aims just to rip people off would simply not survive let alone become the worlds largest mobile provider.

hi guys. Some insider news about the storm. It will not be released at all to any other providers other than VF at least for the forseeable future. It DOES NOT have wifi but ive found this to be irrelevant due to the unlimited data packages. One thing to remember is that to effectivley stream videos u will need to switch to WAP. I hav a bold myself and i found that whilst the touch screen is not too bad, it is not nearly as effective as a keyboard. In fact i did find typing to be tedious. The acceleromitor can lag a little at times but not a huge amount. The storm will be expandable with future software upgrades up to 128GB!! (note sandisk 32gb is due in next few months in Aus). The browser has improved slightly from the bold and one of its main advantages is the ease of accessability to business software (citrix, seibel etc) and instant uploading to all the social networking sites. Apparently battery life has improved from the bold also, although i have not had the chance to test it.

Anonymous, 04 Dec 2008Hey guys can i just say that anyone who buys this is a clow... moreto all iphone geaks... get a life... i am in the corporate phone industry and have sold phones to big clients for over 5 years and the I will never sell an iphone to a buiness client over a blackberry. The iphone has many sync problems and the email manager of the iphone is shit.. the storm blows the iphone away away times ten... And yes the iphone does have wifi but again, why have it if it only works 50% of the time and the purpose of having a BB storm is to recieve emails and data anywhere you are, even if their is no wifi.. If your strong point to get an iphone is because it has wifi, then you have no idea what you are talking about....

I sell this product as I work for Vodafone and it is an extremely powerful tool. This should not even be compared to the iPhone. The number 1 fault with this is people not closing applications. It may look like you’ve closed them but you have to double check. A gentleman came in saying is storm was so slow and rubbish. Turns out he had 9 apps running including sat nav. This will slow it down and suck battery very quickly. This is a very good handset. If you want something user friendly and with simple functions i wouldn't say the storm is the one to go for. But if you want a hand held office and home cinema, then defiantly go for it.

Mark, 04 Dec 2008Just here to challenge the iphone: ha! I believe this phone... moreI also sell both models of phone.
July 11 (iPhone release day) Sold 40 iPhones.
December 5 (Storm launch day) Sold 2 storms and 1 iPhone.
Pretty quiet day really, I'm just hoping they don't have too many issues of the kind I've seen here.
We usually don't sell too many Blackberry's this is Nokia territory.

question for ya'll..
what does a bb and the iphone isn`t?
jailbrake ur iphone, and start editing office doc`s!
jailbrake it and start to copy and paste text, start recording videos, adding effects and zoom to your camera, start playing games like fool, downloading movies, songs, torrents,USE IT AS A PC!
the iphone IS a smartphone, and a multimedia device alltogther.that u see it as the improved ipod touch, doesn`t mean that the phone is a multimedia phone.it is a smartphone that can do much more [in multimedia terms that is.]
so please..use a jailbroken iphone,see what u can do,and then compare them.

I have used the blackberry storm and yes it can be a little slow, but this phone is so much better that the i phone. Blackberry have been making handsets a long time now and apple have had 2. i think most of the comments are from people who have never used the handset, you have all been sucked in to the power of apple brand, not the handset.

Anonymous, 03 Dec 2008And which one's will they be?
The faulty returns?NO they will be excess stock sold behind the scenes to distributors and vendors linked with the network. I know these guys and they end up in the grey market. 14 day return stock is different and can be obtained in this market also.
It all depends on the decoding. Can it be broken - time will tell.

MUSTECH, 03 Dec 2008this is a piece of crap phone,
just there to bring a chal... moreJust here to challenge the iphone: ha! I believe this phone does more than just challenge the iphone, it builds on a lot of key functions the iphone has while improving on a lot of the negatives.
I sell both models of phones and have had the chance to thoroughly use both models, and I must say while I was never blown away by the iPhone, the Storm is quite exciting. No wi-fi is not a big issue when you compare data plans for the two phones, as well as the simplicity of adding and managing email for the blackberry. I have had many customers who can't get the iphone to connect to their wifi network, so it's no good if you can't use it.
