Blackberry storm is a great handset, as for the lag and software issues, the update is available on Vodafone website. Sound quality is amazing, touch screen is also really cool and the screen resolution is nice n sharp

It really is worth sticking with, comments in the Vodafone e-forum around the software update release appear to be positive on the whole.

this phone has one thing not going for it right now, and thats the exclusion of wireless internet capabilities.
If you are a business man and you travel, wifi helps keep those costs down when you travel internationally!
And those unlimited data plans dont work abroad or if they do, they probably expensive.
yes its a small component that many consumers may not use, but if this handset is geared for the business people, and it looks like it is, being a blackberry thats a major drawback.

Ive had myne what 3 weeks. No probs..
Coming from a Nokia N95 its certainly different.
Had wifi on that never used it so no wifi on this didnt bother me. Also wifi may not be with us on phones for much longer anyway as networks are seeing it as there losing out on money so dont get too used to it.
As for the iphone, i had one of those too. That was majorly tempermental, and as i see it really you cant compare the two, there both aimed at different markets.
Least with my storm i can bluetooth and MMS fully. Bluetooth i cant live without. Dont agree with apple keeping me in suspense over new realeases..
Q: Whats the new iphone called? iphone bluetooth & mms??

If the Storm is so rubbish as people are claiming, then why are Vodafone (whom I work for on customer service)selling 3000+ per day? Get your facts right people. It's not an Iphone and was never meant to be...

Blackberry Storm software upgrade for UK customers...
A new software upgrade is now available for all customers with a BlackBerry Storm, available to download from the Vodafone website. The software upgrade will deliver a number of improvements to the microphone, display, media and video.
To access the software, click on the following link: http://devicehelp.vodafone.co.uk/swug.php?id=1, then on the ‘Research in Motion software upgrade service’ and select BlackBerry Storm from the drop-down menu.

I sell this phone at work too, and I have to say this phone is a complete disaster! Everytime I sell one of these pieces of crap I'm scared it's gonna come right back to me like a boomerang! Just the other day one of our customers decided to bring the phone back cuz he hated it, so I had to speak to our returns department, and the department rep said she was amazed at the number of BB Storms that were being returned! According to her 8 out of every 10 Storms sold were being returned!!! I'd love to see the overall returns figures for this phone, cuz clearly this phone has been a complete failure, I mean all that hype for no reason?! BB should stick to what they know and stop trying to be something they're not.

Anonymous, 06 Dec 2008hi guys. Some insider news about the storm. It will not be ... moreyou forgot to mention the fact that unlimited data wont save you when overseas will it? for a buisness orientated company to overlook the use of wifi in this generation of phones!

I sell these at works and i love it! because its a great selling point for the iPhone, i had one guy yesterday convert himself to the iphone without me even saying anything negative about the storm, it was brilliant.
But seriously this thing is rubbish, faux touchscreen feels like im going to break it, can hardly compete with the tempered glass of the iphone, no wifi? what a joke, and laggy as all heck, id recommend a bold before this thing, and they are the ugliest phone on the market!

I'm debating which phone to buy the Innov8 or the Blackberry Storm. The specs of the Innov8 appear to be superior. However the Storm has a 2yr warranty compared to 1yr for the Samsung and the Storm has true push email and is apparently better for internet browsing.
Any advice / opinions appreciated.
