Vodaclone, 08 Dec 2008Nowhere near as many as some people would suggest, the main... moreand there we hav it! The issue no alike thinking customer wants to admit to. The single largest reason for dissatisfyed consumers and wanting to return for not just the storm but a wide variety of handsets is.. they simply do not know how to use the device they were given. In their defense tho one could say that the user freindliness for a lot of handsets needs work, but i believe that technology is advancing at a rate at which stupid ppl cannot comprehend also. yes! the storm will send pics/ringtones via bt. I bet poor vodaclone has to deal with these ppl all day long. To u i send my condolences. Also yes, Wifi is relatively pointless whilst here in oz but the overseas travellers miss out.

I have just been to the bb storm launch in N.Z(where all our phones are unlocked) and blackberry have said they will continue upgrading the phone and will be 3 different models released over the next year or two.

Terrible phone. The floating screen feels like it will break, and the OS is trying to be like iPhone but failing so badly. And no WiFi? What were they thinking??
The only advantage of this phone will be your Blackberry email capability. Other than that, you're better off with an iPhone.

I actually work for one of the UKs biggest phone shops and have been advised we should be getting it after 3 months and it will be the unlocked version also so wait for that if you really want it instead of putting up with the locked software problems.
Vodafone have only signed a 3 months exclusivity deal with Blackberry and we have the codes up for the Storm already so should have after the new year
Probably on the usual networks ie o2, orange

ManFromOz, 11 Dec 2008To all these people bagging vodafone about these being crap... moreI have an Omnia. I had a few issues with it initially, now it is working fine. Gets email on a push basis as well. The Omnia is very well built and has a host more features than the Storm, which if you look at it has the most appalling build quality. Check the dirt and moisture trap round the edge of the floating screen and the flimsy buttons at the bottom. How long do you think it will last. Vodafone UK have at least a 50% returns rate - that tells us a lot

At least that seems to be an acceptable iPhone copy! Now its about usability/syncr etc... I am using the iPhone since a year and never had a better smart phone! Lets hope for RIM to catch up - since I hate Apple as a company for its arrogance, however its products are the best right now
