This phone is all well and good on specs and its a phone everybody is after...but i must warn u its features might be okay but the phone itself is absolutely bugged and its very unstable, the iphone kills it by a mile. I had the blackberry storm for 2 days and i found so many faults that even the customers who heard me complain got put off by this phone... trust me if u dont want any hassle's dont get this phone

Having Been introduced to blackberry's recently and upgrading from a pearl to the world and then the curve and now the storm I can say I've tried them all and the storm isn't my favorite. The features are great. the design however is nothing new.It's called a touch phone but it's not "tap/touch" like HTC's or The Samsung instinct its more "touch/press" like the phone has invisble buttons. I don't mind it personaly but I think most people will find that to be a let down. Being blackberry's first touch phone I know It would not be 100% but this phone is a minor let down. Its operations are a little slow especially when trying to use browser and the phone does glitch out here &' there. My favorite is when the screen gets distorted and the icons overlap..Overall I give this phone a 7.7 out of 10. but I still haven't lost faith in the RIM brand.

This phone is amazing i had it for a month. I think i cannot live without it for business and personal. It is my first blackberry before that i had N95, sony W800. It beats both of those phones for just typing for emails, sms, memo, word, anything.
I love the executive and luxurious design, the clickable touch screen you move your finger on the screen to select, push down to action the command it makes sms and email writing easy, suretype is brillant - give you a drop down list of suggested word during typing. Its like typing in word but faster. You can highlight text and copy, paste, delete. I have a iphone the typing is not better than the blackberry. The iphone is also beautiful phone and the software is faster. The voice quality is clear and loud.
For business or as a mini computer the Storm is the best phone for it. 3g web browsing is fast and using the internet. It is superb in multitasking - switching application and does copy and paste from any application into another email, sms etc. The photo and video is great as well for just general snapping and shooting. I prefer to use my camera for better photos and video. The best thing is retrieving emails blackberry keeps its business continuity with this phone. Blackberry makes a good OS which does not get viruses unlike Microsoft.
The one thing it lacks is wifi but i never use it on my phones it drains the battery down. There are some clitches on response issues from a lot of handsets that people owned i have been lucky not to see these with my phone. Blackberry will fix and make the phone better with the new updates. I have beem lucky my Storm works fine.
There is lots more i cannot speak highly of this phone. Its just like a mini notebook but a phone.

Vodafone actually designed this handset in conjunction with Blackberry, there will be no leasing to other networks.

this goes out just 4 those people that curently use this phone! can i use the camera to record video? how many days in stand by(while actually speaking and using things like bluetooth for at least car hands free or passing photos and music)? can you actually use the gps features to get around? icurently use nokia n95 8giga and i have to pay to navigate and the gps chip sucks(it takes 2 much time to receive sat coverage and u loose coverage easily). hand writing recognicion?

All i can say that i had to return this phone cos it was so bad, and had to get the iphone instead which is much better...i cant say too much about the faults i can tell you if you ask.

This phone is totally crap....got it on a plan and i returned it due to its touchscreen being so shit...you tap one thing then the whole thing freezes and it takes you to another menu that you didnt even want to go to...while messaging the thing lags and then the message sends by itself without even finishing what u typed...battery lasts hardly half a day...Screen rotation is so slow and drives u crazy seriously overall 1/10 and that one is for its applications and video playpack quality apart from that i have a iphone now and im very happy with it.

steed , 11 Dec 2008nope u cant get or send ringtines or foto whit the storm...... moreOfcos you can. Just go to the media folder, click on receive using bluetooth and everything's fine. If you still can't do it, check if the bb is paired with the device that is to be sent to bb or bb to send out, and everything works perfectly. i own a bb storm and everything works perfectly just tat it lags at times. An iphone wannabe? Well, it's just da trend but it doesnt seem to me like an iphone wannabe. cheers!

So you can't compare a totally different country and how they are better than North America cell phone providers and service!

what is the difference... moreThe Difference between 9500 and 9530 is .. 9500 is a Quad band Gsm Phones and 9530 is Quad band Gsm Phone plus
CDMA2000, so it means 9530 can also work with Bell,rogers and fido

reading opinions on here, wtf do people have bb or any other data phone when they dont know how to use it. then they say this phone sucks, nothing works. well hey dummy go get a push and talk phone where its not that complicated. I bet most of the people with these phones are just posers,wanna be important status business crack dealers. alot of you have data or bb and cant afford the data package whats up with that. i cant figure it out

The iphone and bb are poor mans phones. wow its touch screen with wifi, big stinking deal. You want a real phone go to Japan were we are 10 steps ahead of the game. 3 year contract and all this data options and features are extra dam. you guys are getting ripped off. In japan i pay $15 for all that and i have unlimited data, Wow us is really taking advantage of you guys
