I bought this model and it's awesome specially touch screen and bettery life similar with IPhone. OS6 is perfect and improved a lots then all past OS... u can rely on it.

Before i was using samsung l9000 galaxy now im using bb torch its very nice mobile i love it and now my work is very express and fast thanks to rim people.

the nokia e7 is way better and it is out of comparison .... the bb should be used in middle ages not in this era....RIM must do something about the cam the touch the processor quickly

I used a BB Bold 9000 for two years..its not the perfect phone, but I was very happy and satisfied with it, especially as an effective communications tool.
I now have a BB Torch 9800 and are extremely happy with this mobile unit..it is definately a quantum leap forward from the BB Bold.
Journalists compare the BB Torch 9800 with the iPhone4 which is an unfair comparison..both mobiles have their strengths and weaknesses..make your choice of mobile on what appeals to you and the purpose you want a mobile for (my brother in-law has iPhone 4 and we compare notes).

Nowadays im giving a try to ANDROID phones and there pretty amazing i must say. im waiting for the first smarthphone with GINGERBREAD. It would be a great step forward.

thewizardmickey, 23 Oct 2010GUYS i'm so confused should i go for the i phone 4 or this ... moredepends on whats your need. not a gamer? how about getting your emails pushed to you? if just want a 'normal' phone, not gamer, not busy man cant live without push mail, phone hardware spec and ease of use, i would go for iphone4.

GUYS i'm so confused should i go for the i phone 4 or this phone , i honestly dont care that much for games ...i need a phone that is hands on and easy to use without needing to download a 100$ worth of apps to get a good experience .and it would b helpful if someone told me which phone is compatible with skype . thx

[deleted post]Iphone 4 is a very good device but if we look at it's cost it dosen't make any sense(especially it's cost in india). Spending 40000rs makes no sense that too on iphone 4. HTC DESIRE HD is far better and is much cheaper than iphone 4. BB torch is also good bt a little pricy(32600). Should be cheaper. Me myself using BB BOLD 9700 & SAMSUNG GALAXY S and i didn't feel like changing any of my devices with BB TORCH. THANX

Iphone 4 will b launched at much expensive rate in india around 42000(as iphone 3gs is of 36000) and that is too expensive. Blackberry Bold is very good but in BB Torch the new os 6 is very good and user friendly. Thanx.

Well in a nutshell Torch is a 9700 Bold packed in a bigger package. Bigger the Better ? Lets see....
Bulky in your Hand and Bulkier on your pocket at around Rs 34000.
It certainly has a better camera. I took pictures and confirmed. impressive pictures contrary to some review i read somewhere. Having advantage of a touchscreen and a better camera at cost of additional bulk ? Well if you dont mind and you are a Blackberry fan, go for it.
Screen is quite responsive. scrolls are nice. but zoomed pictures show the pixels apart. even in the wall papers . i fail to understand why they gave this panning feature if it was to show the pixels apart. samsung wave and samsung galaxy have a far better screen resolution. i would call it amazing. sleek wave at half the price is a steal anytime. galaxy for those who want to show off or explore more.
yes, torch does have the advantage over wave and galaxy that it gives u option of qwerty actual keypad and the virtual touch pad both like in nokia N 97. so those who are into texting in a big way like me, only touch phone shdnt be a good option. manual keyboard has far better typing speed than the touch phones. so i am happy with my blackberry 9700 bold .
will see when iPhone 4 is officially launched. till then Maujan hi Maujan Berries hi Berries . Bold Berries. Torch you Rock but for the time being you Scorch !! Come below 30
