Anonymous, 06 Aug 2010in the WLAN, what does carrier dependent mean?thats only with UMA
UMA allows you to connect to a wireless router and boost your network coverage signal if you live in a blackspot / poor signal area.

To the guy that 'claims' he has an 8900, a desire and an iPhone 4. Get a life mate!
1. Who needs 3 phones? Drug dealer are we?
2. You clearly know nothing about phones if you think the 8900 is the superior of these three.
Apps / screen size / screen quality / Processor / Mobile internet speed / customization features.... need i go on...
Be nice to see the improvements Blackberry have made with the new Torch, awful name though....

Blackberry Torsh looks awesome, I have a storm and I find it fantastic. About the processor, it is not a matter of speed, if RIM didn't go with 1 GHZ they have a reson they are not fool.
By the way RIM has more experience than apple in phones so no need to compare apple with peaches.

Anonymous, 05 Aug 2010I agree with you. The technology in this phone sucks. they ... morei use a blackberry curve 8900 and an htc desire and an iPhone4 and the blackberry curve is the better of these handsets, who cares about the processor if the handset doesn't do the normal things it's meant to do, other than the storm 2 theres not been a blackberry i've used that i dont love.

How can blackbverry even stand a chance on the SMart phone market when people are prepared to pay dollar extra for a phone which has 1gz processor. I use a a BB 9000, I must say after having the hs for 15 month i am very impressed with the firmware stability which does make me a loyal fan, BUt common, BB must atleast improve the web browsing if customers are to make the most out of the BIS. There are still time for changes.

If i were to buy this phone from AT&T, contract-free, and activate it through T-mobile, will i lose out on any features or experience frequency issues?
Can this phone support T-Mobile's 3G network?
