Hi all! I've been considering to buy BB Torch 9810 but I've read that BB 10 phones will be launched later this year. Should I just wait for the release of BB10 or just buy this?

PG, 02 Apr 2012Hi does the 9810 have a overheating problem like the 9360?Don't have a lot of experience with the 9360, but my 9810 only heats up when I am pushing the processor hard in a weak signal area. Normally mine doesn't heat up bad.

velpecla, 31 Mar 2012i want to know which is better bb or the htc mobile in all... moreOK,here's a general IMHO, but individual models may vary. In general, Blackberry models are better built and are more secure. BB is a closed OS, where as Android is not. Most HTC phones are Android, but some are Windows Mobile. I've seen that,in general, BB antenna and signal strength is better(Motorola is still best with antenna). BB OS 7 brings great improvements regarding internet, but Android and Windows are both still better, but not by much. That said, BB compresses data, something the other native OS Browsers don't do. That can make a difference if you are on limited data. As most HTC phones use Android, you would have access to Android Market, which has tons more in volume than BB App World. In the end, it's a personal preference. Try them both out at a store and see. Hope this helps.

icemint, 30 Mar 2012My 9810 showed a message "built-in memory error please... moreTry clearing your cache, do a battery pull, then connect to your PC and check your software using Blackberry Desktop or connecting with Blackberry.com. You may have an app hogging your memory as well. I was having issues until I deleted Pingchat, and things went back to normal. Hopefully, someone else here might have info that I am overlooking if this doesn't work. Good Luck.

liza, 30 Mar 2012Hey I'm trying to make a decision on what blackberry to get... moreThat's easy. I own the 9810 and owned the 9800. You should get the 9810. It has a much better resolution and about twice the CPU because of the bigger processor. However, I found battery life slightly better on the 9800, but not really enough to matter. Basically, the 9810 is the suped up version of the 9800. They both get the same push notifications and social feeds.

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2012How do I upgrade to os 7.1 Got my link to download 7.1 on Crackberry.com. You can updating your 9810 on Blackberry.com. That didn't work for me because AT&T won't let it's people go to 7.1, so I went to Crackberry.com. I since went back to 7.0 because 7.1 took away my ability to manually switch between 2G and 3G/4G. I work in a weak 3G signal area, so that was a deal breaker, so I switched back to 7.0

ihiy, 27 Mar 2012i really need your help here.. i've read all the opinions ... moreDon't see Dre around so I'll help. I have settings similar to yours. With a full charge, I can go about 8 hours before needing to recharge. That's with medium to heavy use of the internet, email, and Facebook updates. Other factors that matter are variables in signal strength. If your phone is in a weak area, it will drain more juice trying to maintain a connection. Hope this helps.

Asher, 29 Mar 2012Is the bb torch 9810 has a long lasting battery?See comments elsewhere, it's about average and better than most Androids. You will need to charge it every day if you use it.
