leon, 21 Mar 2012baterry life sucks and my phone freeze all the timeYeah, I have that happen as well from time to time, but I've had it happen with othert phones also. My battery life is decent on my 9810 unless I'm on the internet a lot.

victor, 21 Mar 2012So u ar advicing mi to buy d 9810 instead of 9790The short answer is yes. No comparison specs wise. The 9810 has a newer OS, double the CPU,Touchscreen and keypad. But it ultimately depends on personal taste. I like having both a touchscreen and keypad. If you can, try them both out first and see which you are more comfortable with.

mianyu, 18 Mar 2012hey guys, need a quick response on this one. i'm buying ... moreTwo fast and easy ways to tell:

                          1) From the homescreen, type About Device and it will pop up with a wrench with Options (1). Click on that, and then click on "About Device Versions." The first line will say the model, and should read "Blackberry®
                          9810"

                          2) Hold in ALT and SHIFT at the same time and hit the "h" key. Under "App Version," the first number should be 7, not 6, indicating that it's running OS 7, which the Torch 9800 isn't compatible with.

                          Other ways to tell:

The 9810 and 9800 also look a bit different. The silver version of the 9800 is a dark greyish colour, while the 9810 is a lighter silver colour. The backs on the two model phones are also a bit different, although this could be swapped with another phone. Google some pics to familiarize yourself with the two models.

The icons on the screen are a bit different, since it's a different OS, and the 9810 has a higher resolution (icons will look smaller). They will also have more colour. If you watch a youtube video on the two OS's, you'll be able to tell the difference between OS 6 and 7.

If you look underneath the battery, it will say whether it's a 9800 or 9810 on the sticker. Again, the sticker could potentially be changed.

In the camera settings, the 9810 will have an option for HD video (720x1280), while the 9800 will not.

There are other ways, but these are just a few I could think of off the top of my head. The most reliable is the first one, so I'd do that for sure, but you can quickly evaluate aesthetic aspects if you familiarize yourself with them before going to see the phone. Hope this helps.

As far as battery life, the 9800 is slightly better than the other two. However, the 9810 and 9900 are using OS 7 and also have better resolution and a much bigger processor. They out perform the 9800 in every area, except maybe battery life. It really comes down to the 0810 or 9900, since the 9810 is the improved 9800.. Then it is just a matter of form factor preference. The 9900 has NFC capabilities, but the 9810 has a bigger touchscreen and is better for videos. The virtual keyboard on landscape in the 9810 is OK, but the portrait one is not so good. If you plan on using the Internet a lot, the 9810 would be best IMHO. Hope this helps.
